Honestly I cannot give you an opinion on controllers. I only bought some cheap 30€ controllers and after the sticks inevitably started to drift, I got a Xbox One controller. I am supper happy with it, but I do not have experience with this stuff, so I do not know if the new ones are better. What I do know is that Microsoft supports their own controllers very well and they just work on Windows.

The one from your link does not have the model number listed, but it seems to be the 1914 version. I'd say go for it if you want a first party solution.

Personally, once this controller breaks I will get a 8bitdo Pro2 controller. The xbox version, not the ps version. I really, really want to have remappable buttons and extra buttons. But that's just me and the way I play games.

In my personal experience I use an unofficial wired Xbox 1 controller. It's functionally the same as official, with the addition of 2 buttons on the back of the controller for additional inputs (mine are both bound to B for sprinting and rolling). I unfortunately can't recall the exact name but I know I've had 0 difficulties in the near year I've had it.

That one looks good. The cable is micro USB though. It's not type C. For now micro USB is fine, but a controller will last you 5-10 years or even more. If the cable gets damaged, I don't know if you'll find a replacement. It's one thing I do not like about the XB one controller I have. Also that one does not have bluetooth. I don't use it, but it's a nice thing to have just in case.

i strongly recommend just getting an official controller, as someone who didnt for years, i went through like 6 controllers, PDP's and afterglows, they all broke within the same period of time, something like 250 hrs and its busted.. i bought an official xbox one controller like 4 years ago and 0 issues since

I haven't used powerA, but i heard bad things about their switch controllers, and remember, they're cheaper for a reason. From what I see rn the price difference between normal xbox controllers and powerA's is not much.. I wouldn't chance it. You get what you pay for with controller IME

The moment the 3 man gank squad notices the invader, they are going to go straight for him. Those teleporting things will last 2 minutes at most. The ones drawing out a fight for 3 hours are gankers, not invaders.

there is plenty of space to move around. You should be able to play off them just fine, m8 an instant disappear teleport 10 times every invasion is a bit much. Its overtuned m8.
2 minutes? Lol thats how long it takes to teleport and get back to the fight after the load screen like twice.. then the actual fighting, then 8 more of those teleports
In the CNT everyone was very honourable and wanted to fight as much as possible so they didnt mess about. If the item isnt changed at all, just wait and see how much time it consumes and how troll-y it gets

From what I've seen, these things teleport you away, yes, but you're very very close to the host and his 2 buttbuddies. You're going to be found out very quickly and you're going to use those things quickly. I invade a lot, and trust me when I say that it's gankers that drag out fights by turtling and being super passive. In das2 and dasR, where there is not as much gank activity as in das3, the fights are very, very quick. I just go in a host's world and either I style on them or they wipe the floor with my face. Either way it's a very quick fight.

only sometimes its very close, half the time you are so far the host literally cannot find you, while u sit in a bush and use your miracles to full hp. I'm not saying this is going to be every fight, im saying the potential is there and smarter players are going to utilize the item to its fullest potential, and when they do, you are going to have some suuuper long fights where u battle ten different times. Its going to get exhausting, got him to 1hp, oh boy he teleported away for the NINTH time right before i could finish him off.

Time will tell whether that item is really OP or not. In my opinion, invaders are getting the short end of the stick by being able to invade only hosts with 1 or 2 phantoms. That item might balance a bit the fact that you're always at a disadvantage. Or maybe not. Who knows.

Yes, that tongue or whatever it is that allows you to be invaded while solo, right? Pretty much nobody is going to use it. Only people who are looking for a fight, and those are going to be a minority of the playerbase. With the way invasions work today, you can invade anybody that is embered. If you decrease that number to those who are in a coop session, then you decrease the possible number of interactions you can have with other people. I don't know. I don't really see this new system as an improvement over what we have today. I especially want to see how that would work 5 years after the game has been released, when the number of players has dropped to 15000 or, god forbid, 5000. Then my guess is that you're not really going to have much multiplayer activity.

It's too early to say if it's OP or not. Chances are everything was OP during the network test. They probably didn't want people dying over and over again in the first area. They probably wanted you to explore the map and try everything.

What needs to be fixed the most is your mentality.

exactly. that's a balancing factor, for both melee, and magic. spirits sort of counter it, but not entirely, and it depends on the spirit. from soft games always have iffy balance, and ways to "cheese" basically everything. the only concern i have with magic, is pvp, as the aoe magic, is much bigger, and longer lasting, so invading in dungeons, will be much harder. but, i don't think it'll be OP, as melee always has its avenues, to be just as annoying.

@golden goblet i'm not trying to spoil anything, and that article hardly goes over anything that wasn't already known, and can only extrapolate a little bit from what's even available. putting together a puzzle is fun, though. you don't think so?

all i did was post an article in the media and links section, because it's fun and i like puzzles, and doing puzzles with other people is even more fun. and games are about having fun!

it honestly gives me a greater appreciation for what's in store, because we really have only scratched the surface of what's inside the box. once we can take it out, lay all the pieces out, put together the edges, fit in the corners... you fill in in the sections of the puzzle more quickly, but it's no less thrilling.
