when you unlock the option to change ashes of war you will be able to change what that weapon depends on mostly
for example a weapon with Str D will improve a bit with the strength stat but if you don't have strength you can change it to something like Dex C for it to scale on your dexterity stat more

lastly almost every starter weapon will eventually be outdamage by later weapons so try to lookout for new ones as you progress, specially Moonveil

Thanks for the map, but I finally found it by noticing that I hadn't gone below the grace of the dragon temple yet. you had to get there by jumping on the stairs and I had to go through it only when going to help a friend a long time ago in his world, so it never occurred to me to go back there (while I redid the whole level several times before coming here asking for help 😔 )

I know this probably isn't a big deal all things considered, but I'm still pretty happy with myself for accomplishing it so I decided to share.

I wanted to show my girlfriend Elden Ring, and thought it would be funny to play through the whole game as a caveman named Grugg, with no armor and only ever using clubs. During my Grugg run I've managed to beat the Tree Sentinel at level 1 without taking a hit, and beat the Ancestor Spirit hitless (underlevelled, but def not level 1). It felt really good seeing as how just a couple of weeks ago playing ER for the first time it took me 4-5 straight hours of trying to beat the Tree Sentinel at level 20-30, and now I've done it at level 1 without even getting hit once.

I wanna play moonveil thats why I have so much intelligence, it would take much time to get to int lvl 23 thats why I started a new game BUT I probably will play the other profile just because im lvl 48 on that profile.

level 35 is very low level imo, pumping vigor to 25-30 is a good early game investment. then the rest use it to have just enough stats requirement for the weapon you are using.
if you feel your damage is too low, upgrade your weapon.

hmm. you should be fine with all the strength.. but get more vigor. I did it at Vigor 23 but barely. you're moving slower so you'll need more. if you want to prepare just a bit more, get a bow to make his second phase easier

you can also use a great bow since you have enough strength I believe, and really eat away at his second phase.

just a tip, when you go into fight him, summon everyone, when they die, there's a small cool down where you may revive them again.

if you're doing ranni's quest line, or regardless, keep Blaidd alive during the fight

he's very good at taking attention away from you, but you get the most damage when you fight alongside the summons

what talisman is good? I just defeated margit, I explored everything I found in limgrave and I also was a bit in caelid but didnt do much there. I would use the blessed dew talisman or radagons scarseal. (against godrick I would equip flamedrake talisman because it boosts fire damage negation)
