Hey guys! I’m trying to hone this design to both fit the characters lore and also to look unique. Her lore is that due to the curse put over the land, demons invaded the bodies of all living things in that land, most creatures succumbed to the greater will of the demon and didn’t survive but a few did, this orphaned and rage filled cobra was one of them. She has now become a vessel for not one, but over 15 demons, all inside her head and controlling her body, this can result in spasms and abrupt mood swings as they fight for control. So any design would need a chaotic and uncontrolled nature. So I would like to ask any reader if they could simply provide some feedback by reacting with A if: This design is too tame and needs to be more fired up to look crazed and unique. React with B if: This design is on the complete wrong track and needs a complete overhaul. And react with C if: This design is perfectly satisfying. You don’t have to do this survey by any means but it would be really appreciated! 😃

if i understand correctly: demons invade, they get in ya, and they turn ya into a beast. therefore, shouldn't this person with 16 demons in them be turned into 16 beasts? furthermore, you've only displayed the head of the creature, and from a single angle. wouldn't character concept art require more sketches to really flesh them out? lastly, nothing in the design makes me think that this character is being controlled by 16 (sixteen!!!) different beings, i imagine it constantly being pulled in different directions, eyes rolling about in the skull in a vain attempt to perceive it's surroundings...like how would this creature even function? i can't imagine demons agreeing with each other much. maybe reduce the number of demons, lol, 16 is perhaps too difficult to represent.

Ok I edited it to try to add a major element of instability, I decided that instead of all the demons fighting at once, instead they need time to recharge after fighting for control, so she will very frequently change moods abruptly, moving between a cycle of fear, anger, and confusion. Is this better, I tried to keep a few elements from the original sketch so that I could still have it feel like a viper/cobra?

i like that i can see the whole character now, and im loving the split tail and the growths along the body, and the expression in the face definitely gives off a rage induced vibe! would love to see the other stages and cycles, when another demon is in control! great pivot of the concept, you can keep the 16 demons AND have them introduce a unique personality/vibe to the character

When that happens, a dark shadow effect shaped like herself before she was possessed (in other words back when she was one of the beautiful serpents of the north) will partially tear itself away and writhe in agony, her physical form will also lose all self control and just start making horrible screaming noises while whipping her head around. Normal beings shouldn't be able to withstand multiple demons vying for control, she only can stand it because of her already broken mind.

also, whenever i see character concept art, it's always the character in multiple poses, maybe in different outfits/gear, different expressions, different angles, etc. I would be interested to see that here for this character

basically what im saying is keep asking and answering these sorts of questions ("what does it look like when this happens, what does it look like when that happens") and then sketch out all of the answers. eventually you'll have like 30 sketches for this character which IMO would really help to flesh out the character and the concept

Blood based weapon would be cool, the weapon get more transformed the more you rally.

I wonder what would be the advantage for it being more transformed maybe more range like Lady Maria's attacks which i say is fair ig. Prob it's going to be one handed scythe transforming into a two handed scythe similar to bloodletter

And maybe with the special/ transforming attack, it throws a range attack something like Lady Maria's charged attacks maybe one is spear lunge one and the other swipe attack one.
Maybe at max stacks it does those AoE blast for those attacks like phase 3 Lady Maria charged attacks.

I like this weapon is fusion of the Bloodletter, Gherman's scythe and Lady Maria Boss phasses.

Maria Serafina Iolanda the Abscond.
Born from a noble family of Irithyll, she is the fourth and last daughter that developed an interest into fighting, which her parents approved since being the youngest her being married wouldn't have had much importance.
She soon got higher ranks in the military sphere which lead to bond with the Royal family.
Once Pontiff arrived, he forced her to become an Outrider Knight by giving her the ring... Serafina escaped from her town and cut her finger since there wasn't any other way to take the ring out but unfortunately the curse already had got her, but not completely. That's why now she need to walk with a cane to not stay on her knees (like the other member of the Royal family) since she refuse her beast instinct.

For me most important is composition, pose and characteristics of the figurine not bigger boobs or waist smaller or bigger because she is a woman. I've seen womens Wich were chopped from 1 piece of wood that had more musculine look than some of my friends.

So still smaller waist and bigger boobs is not a must to make a female character/figurine or anything.

I want to share an artwork that was inspired by Dark Souls.
It was created with the idea to be printed on a T-shirt for a friend's birthday as he's a huge fan of it.

Only thing I would think about here is if not better to remove that beam of light behind Aldrich silhouette, and not leave just that red-ish color to cut his shape better, it's so small that considering t-shirt print it might look abit off. Had problems when I've done Tshirt myself with prints and sometimes the difference in detail and such was unbearable.

Overall great idea ! Would love to see this on black/gray t-shirt.

Thank you. The art is from November, so it's already finished.
My idea was to incorporate the different types of references, like the silhouette of Siegmeyer or the Dark Sign, logically into the composition. At first I wanted to draw Soul of Cinder at the doors, however his shape was not suitable, so I chose Aldrich as he had interesting form and it's native to that zone anyways. The beam behind him is used to bring contrast, and separate him from the surroundings, as he is still one of the focal points, albeit a secondary to the Dark Sign.
For the main character I liked the pose of the DS2 MC, as he had a strong sign language, however I changed some things to him as the cloak-ish thing of his coat, more fur, longer sword.
Here are some zoomed in and better quality shots [edit: apparently there is still a compression of the images to a degree :(] of the art.
I'll post the T-shirt in 5 mins, after the slowmode ends.

This slaps, for a long time besides my digital art studies I've been wanting to create sculptures so that I could print them. Recently I started studying Zbrush, as I need it for my high-poly stuff for my portfolio.
This being said, seeing your awesome works gives me even more motivation.

Wanted to go back to zbrush but i have spine problems so ended up working on ipad with entire 2d and 3d stuff. I'm also after art studies (fine art academy , master degree). I'm a selft taught person when coming to 3d so kind of when I can't get some effect I want, I just deep dive into program and try everything. Pretty much happy with the results but still there is always place for some kind of boost or place to make something better , trying to top my previous work with every new one :D
