Copying takes a little bit of effort

You can learn a bit from copying when it comes to memorizing very small details

It's a pity to hear that. I've worked with many artists, and those who can't accept and embrace the advantages offered by artificial intelligence out of fear or hatred, which I personally can't comprehend, are destined for extinction. We shouldn't see artificial intelligence as an enemy but as an ally. In any case, I respect everyone's opinion.

It IS an enemy though, Ai feeds on already existing art that people spent countless hours of their time, pouring their talent into, only for an algorithm to pick it up alongside many other works to churn out a half-baked piece.

Artists have every right to feel hatred and dislike towards Ai, it is the equivalent of someone literally stealing your homework and saying that THEY made it not only is it extremely harmful, it undermines an Artists sweat, blood and tears and encourages a decrease in creativity.

That’s why ai should be restricted to public domain stuff. But I think it is nice for things like ttrpgs or meme images where it’s usually not worth a real artists time, it just needs to be better regulated

Images generated with artificial intelligence are quite limited, and it's not a viable method for extensive projects or for a series of illustrations that need to have a coherent progression. As I mentioned before, I respect all opinions, but I believe misinformation is the real enemy. In any case, whether one likes it or not, artificial intelligence is here to stay (perhaps even to extinguish them, who knows XD). I find it interesting for specific purposes, like sending an image on Discord, for example... In any case, those who don't like it can simply choose not to look at it o.o

It’s fine, but it is a threat to artists because Ai actively steals artwork and any type of image that is available to generate art, it sifts through and picks out works that people have spent alot of time on and pops out the prompt requested

Fair enough lol, im mostly taking about using it for miscellaneous things like environments and locations that will be visited once and never again. If I need to get character art or something that would be used pretty often I’d absolutely commission a real artist, but if i need a quick backdrop, or want to get some basic ideas that I would then take to a real artist to get fully realized, I’d use ai. The problem isn’t the technology itself, just the fact it’s completely unregulated imo
