It is cheaper only if you own a 3d printer though

Also 3d printing is much more easier. The printer does all the work, while with EVA foam you have to take measurements and cut things perfectly. Surely not easy if you don't have experience with cosplaying

Trace shapes of the armor plates over your reference to try and get a better understanding of how the armor is shaped. simplify the shape best you can if its too complex, and just add the details you see afterwards once you redraw your reference

Also, digital art and traditional are are just mediums in which people draw, one is not better than the other in general its more about personal preference

And it would also help to understand how the human body is shaped in order to theorize how the armor may act and shape around it. I suggest learning some anatomy, more so just basic forms and shapes rather than details and minor muscles since they will be covered by leather and armor anyway

major muscles and structure of your character may be visible while wearing an outfit (depending on the outfit of course)

I think learning it is relatively easy to moderate, using proper references and looking up tutorials as needed. But mastering anatomy is a long and hard process

Just make sure that when you are stuck on how to draw something you look to other artists, see how they have simplified the human body and try to replicate it. This is a crucial part in developing your style as well. Just be sure the artist you reference is on a professional level

And when i say replicate how they have simplified humans, i dont just mean how the final product looks, but their process to getting there as well. Like the shapes they use to simplify the ribcage or hips ynow. Try and replicate the first thing they draw in the process to the last thing. Feel free to study multipule artists, understanding different methods might help decide which you find the most comfortable

You need to be respectful bro. The devs and the company has been put on a lot of pressure. Due to Elden ring being super good, and there is a new DLC, everyone is super hyped for it and people are expecting to be crazy; with that being said, elden ring is getting even more popular due to the new DLC.

I use that demonic app called Zbrush. I have it solely because i am still a student and my school is paying for annual products licenses... But if you have (a lot) of spare money, you should really try it. I think that Zbrush is the best modeling app for character, while I use Maya for environment and props.

The breastplate i sent was renderend in Substance Painter. Unfortunately all of these programs are not free

Tracing images of things you like can also help you learn. I’ve found that by tracing images it helps me see how I can portray movement in my drawings
Try some online courses, like schoolism and other things. Those help lots
And just ask around! If u wana share ur art, then post it here, and people will give you feedback if you ask for it! And if people like ur art, you’ll sometimes make their day.
