I used to draw on many layers before and I want to let people see (for the ones that haven't found a style) not to be afraid to try less layers because it is not impossible as you can see

fair. i am the same. i found the transition to single/few layers liberating. my art improved a lot too as instead of trying to save 'the perfect line' i had to draw the same perfect line again if i messed up at some point.

the way i see it one layer is the easier option (obvs not for everyone or application) so i thought you were boasting about doing it the easier way. i misinterpreted you. sorry about that

I don't think the war itself was a tie. The battle between Radahn and Malenia might have been, but not the whole war. If one army comes into another army's territory in a hostile way, and then the invading army is sent back to where they came from while the defending army still has control over the area, then the defending army is the winner (despite them suffering heavy costs)

When it comes to purely the 1v1 of Radahn against Malenia, it was either a tie or a win by Radahn. We know for a fact that Malenia passed out from the effort of blooming, although we don't actually know if Radahn was knocked unconscious too. He probably was, and in that case it was a tie, although nothing actually tells us that so it's purely as assumption. After the two fight, a Cleanrot (forgot her name) carried unconscious Malenia back to the Haligtree, so those two and maybe/probably some others on Malenia's side went back to the Haligtree. Many members of both Malenia's army and Radahn's army died, although nothing ever says "his army is kinda dead." The fact fact we know for a fact of the Redmanes setting up burning camps afterwards to slow the spread of the rot says they still existed, just like the Cleanrots still existed. Both sides were just smaller in number. Neither side was completely wiped out, so the deciding factor on who won goes back to my point on how Radahn's side sent the invading side back to where they came from. For example, the colonists won the Revolutionary War because because they sent the British back to where they came, so why wouldn't the same definition of victory apply here?

As far as the monument goes, (1) of course a monument in their honor is gonna praise them and call them stuff like "undefeated" that's how momuments work, and (2) you once again are bringing up a campaign, but we don't know for sure if it was part of the same thing as Caelid's conflicts. Plus we don't know if the monument was built before or after the Caelid incident. The one thing I can agree on is that some of the Redmanes personally lost since they now devoted their lives to stopping the rot spread with camps of fire.

The Redmane side still won because of this: what do we know that Malenia and her army was doing? They went to Caelid and were fighting and trying to defeat the Redmane army. Did they defeat the Redmane army? No, the Redmanes are still alive and residing in the same area as before. It is that simple, there's no reason to find loopholes. They tried to go to Caelid to defeat Radahn and his army, and they didn't and got forced to retreat (they were gonna die if they didn't retreat, we covered this already, don't say they weren't forced again). That's called losing the war.

In the Revolutionary War, the colonists didn't crush the British, but they made the British go back to where they came from and stop messing with them. Do we say that the Revolutionary War was a stalemate? No, we say the colonists won. Likewise, the Redmanes won in that they forced the Cleanrots to leave their land and not attack again.

I'd say that "technically" isn't really needed because that side of the conflict simply did win (as far as the war itself went), as explained in detail above. They were attacked, they forced the attackers to return from where they came. I can see how you got the idea of "technically" though, since one can easily question if the amount of loss they sustained was worth the victory. Since I used the Revolutionary War as an example earlier, I'll use that time period to compare again. The British won the French and Indian War, but it costed them a ton and make them weaker. Despite that, they won without a doubt. It's kinda like that here. The Redmanes won and continued to exist in the area, but they were severely weakened from the effort put into the conflict.

To touch on you saying that Malenia recovering "did also say something," I think it's best to leave it a "yeah the 1v1 was probably a tie" because if we're getting deep into the details, an argument could be made for Radahn too. Malenia was put into a slumbering state for a long amount of time, at the very least it was enough time to travel from Caelid to the Haligtree. Also, it's a common theory that Malenia slept all the way until we woke her up. I personally think this is possible, since (1) who legit just naturally goes to sleep in that position and (2) we know that Finlay reached the Haligtree with sleeping Malenia, and the lack of stuff about Malenia after her battle with Radahn points to her being inactive/asleep until we wake her up. That's all a theory though, so let's just go with her being asleep long enough to make it back to the Haligtree. Radahn isn't confirmed to have even been knocked out by the bloom, although honestly he probably was knocked out. However, with his size, he probably wasn't knocked unconscious as long as Malenia was (if he even was knocked out). So if Radahn woke up first and Malenia continued to sleep, since we know she slept for a super long time, then Radahn could've easily...

... killed her in her sleep. This is especially true if she slept until we woke her up. We know from Jerren's deal that Radahn awoke long before we meet him, early on in the rot before it destroyed his mind. So there he'd definitely "win" by killing her.

However, this is partially speculation, so I'm not a huge fan of arguing with it. Due to that, I don't think that we should say Malenia or Radahn technically came out on top from the 1v1. Let's just leave it at "the 1v1 was basically a tie"

Rot is basically defined to eat away at flesh, not strengthen it. We know this also applies to Malenia since she lost her limbs to the rot. Echinderm's point about going more masculine for art of a naked woman being safer for the artist to draw is probably on point

If the theory that he was always (a part of) Marika is correct, then maybe he didn't have free will to reject Marika and stay with his family, in which case the blame wouldn't fall on him.
