hello, fairly experienced dnd player and game designer. what you want to do is give the weapon some drawbacks and upsides that suit it. probably start with the Warhammer or Maul stat block and make some adjustments. i can DM you some ideas i have for balance.

the Maul is the heaviest bludgeoning weapon in dnd and does 2d6 damage + str on a hit. you could make the giant crusher require 20 strength (the highest possible score, requires you to make major sacrifices to other stats if using a point buy system), require both hands at all times to carry (prevents your character from doing ANYTHING with their hands. ever. unless they put it down and pick it up which should take two actions) and only be able to attack with it once per turn, regardless of how many attacks you’d normally have. on the upside, it could deal something like 5 or 6d6+str damage and you can use your reaction to knock the target prone.

with the right feats or class it could be devastatingly effective, but very high risk.

level range of the campaign and characters also very important to consider.

Even with those downsides knocking prone would be pretty strong no? That can setup a lot of stupid strong combos with like a rogue in the party for sneak attack for example, or just giving all your teammates advantage on attack rolls on that target in general, + the disadvantage to that enemy’s attack rolls as well of course

true, although good rogues will be flanking anyways. i don't think there's really a way to get this weapon into dnd, retaining the flavor it has in elden ring, without it being a little OP.

I think the bonuses you have on it are already pretty good, the damage increase from maul is pretty nuts, maybe you could tone down the downsides a bit like making putting the weapon down a bonus action or reaction but other than that I think it’s fine as is

it is, yeah, that would be what i would do for a high level campaign where this weapon was specifically designed to kill certain creatures as in the ER lore. perhaps it only does that much damage against creatures of a certain size, and smaller creatures can easily sidestep it.

And you learn from talking in secret with Fia that Rogier did the same, she told him about the corpse below Limgrave, he checked it out, then he got infected with Deathblight, that's why he's stationary and covered in the Roundtable til he dies.

I hope you do, I visit her every run (NG +7 rn) and at some point it become a rythm, it’s by far the best fight (imo) in Elden ring. And 30 tries isn’t that much, on my first blind play thru (it’s a miracle how I found her at all, how tf are you suppost to figure this stuff without luck or tutorials) I think I got about 123 tries until I got her

There has always been a need for clarification when someone says 'Greatsword' in an Elden Ring context:
did they mean the weapon class or the weapon called "Greatsword" which is infact not in the "Greatsword", but in the "Colossal Sword" weapon class...?
But, oh well, at least it's completely distinct from the "Knight's Greatsword" which in indeed a Greatsword.
That is, until they added a new weapon in the DLC: the "Fire Knight's Greatsword" which is again a Colossal Sword that could be put on Fire affinity to make it a "Fire Knight's Fire Greatsword"; a questionable naming convention indeed. Make sure to not confuse it with the "Knight's Fire Greatsword" (Greatsword) or the "Fire Greatsword" (Colossal Sword).
As the cherry on top, they also added the "Fire Knight's Shortsword" which is a Dagger unlike the "Shortsword" which is a Straight Sword even if you put it on Fire affinity ("Fire Shortsword") and shall not be confused with a "Fire Knight's Fire Shortsword" (Dagger).
