Imo Maliketh is one of the easiest on NG+ cycles actually, his damage is already high in base NG with Destined Death but even at NG+7 he doesn’t have enough hp to be all that threatening, unlike stuff like Hoarah Loux or Elden Beast which have both more hp while still doing lots of high damage combos, plus there’s blasphemous claw which make him even easier sadly

He hyper specializes in something that basically every late game boss gets on NG+ for free and then loses out on longevity as a result

Maliketh is so held back by lack of HP. I think that's why he's so underrated. I fight him with holy damage just to make the fight last longer.

I think most people kill him pretty quick without really learning his move set.

I'd say he's probably the first "end game" boss the devs anticipate players fighting and his low HP is meant to balance with his insane damage pontential. Glass canon type. That's why people can just stumbling by. It make sense but it's such an S tier fight it makes me sad people don't get as much out of him.

See it’s weird because I would agree with you but if you look at Fire Giant who you have to fight before him they very clearly had no qualms making a difficult, high damage and hp opponent required for progression so I’m not sure why they didn’t balance Maliketh around a similar philosophy (Fire Giant does high damage and has big hp but gives you lots of down time to heal so since Maliketh doesn’t he should be like an offensive mirror to him, high damage and speed but still with a decent amount of health like how Fire Giant has Massive health but still a pretty solid amount of damage if that makes sense)

Yeah but like you said Fire Giant is big and lumbering, juggernaut type enemy. Whereas Maliketh is super fast and aggressive. His openings are hard to find too, they're there and there's a lot of them but the first time around landing a solid hit is really hard.

the run is pure cancer there's a bunch of gank sections and their dmg is busted if youre not armored to the teeth and holding your shield, the boss itself is easy like you said

not to mention it's a swamp so poison and you have to swap out one of your rings for the sodden ring if you want to be able to navigate quickly

Again there’s a shortcut that skips most of it if I’m not mistaken (also you can use the thief ring to avoid the vast majority of the big goblins from what I remember) but if you really died to dirty colossus I think you deserve a run back that’s still not as bad as shrine of Amana or Smelter Demon/Sir Allones boss run backs respectively
