It attacks on its own, you don't trigger it

she gets nightsoul points both from skill and burst
you either need to use both skill + burst to get enough and trigger her off-field dmg
or wish sac fragments, you can use skill twice

assuming you play with Mavuika, you have to use a rotation that makes cryo aura dominant on the enemy
Mavuika has her own off-field damage, so if that hits at a bad time you won't get a cryo aura

for Mavuika's combo, ideally you use something that slightly delays her pyro app so cryo stays dominant

last I've seen recommended was C3F D C3F

You should try different combos and go for the one that feels most comfortable to you, some of these combos are limited by ping, or demand quick reaction times to enemy aura switches - it's better to perform a "worse" combo consistently than to do a better one but miss melts
