I’m probably just inexperienced and I’ll get used to him but i didnt end up liking how relying on a shielder is less forgiving for mistakes, like if I miss switching to him to activate his shield and take some damage In domain runs or abyss it’s kind of irreversible compared to healers. I’m not complaining about Zhongli itself I though I just realized I really like healers over shielders gameplay wise after playing him for a while

honestly, if you haven’t already, I’d practice dodging before you use him on a team. That way he’s more of a safeguard than a requirement. And Zhongli gets built with like, 40-50,000 health when you’re really going for that sheild, so a few hits doesn’t really hurt that much.

As for overworld, he really doesn’t matter. But eventually you’ll get the jist of how he works and the timing of him.
But above all else, dodging is a useful skill, even with him.
