But two people are unlikely to draw something in the exact same way, because people interpret things in a very personal way when they create art.

Many things to say. First, you are very talented in making a argument into words. Second, some photography you can change the way it looks to an extent (you can darken the image, lighten the image, have the camera take a 2 hour long photo of star streaks, and probably more) which makes it a sub-section of art, as you are taking something that exists, copying it and then modifying it.

Damn. Nice mate. I do recommend having bubbles/darker water clouds in areas where the larger shadow lev limbs move(e.g. top of head, tail) to add a sense of the water being pushed away in force. Also crystals are pretty nice how they currently are, but a rigid body with surrounding them making the foggy/smokey a inside feature of the crystals instead
