Made a concept for the ||prehistoric ancient leviathan skeleton||. I think i got the size scale pretty close but i am not sure. SCAN DATA: 1: Average human compared to the massive leviathan. 2: Highly pressurized water jets similar to a squid or octopus to help push the leviathan through the water with its immensely heavy carapace. 3: Unarmored egg sack hanging from the underneath. No plating covers this vulnerable spot to allow the egg enough space to grow to a large enough to be laid. 4: Massive claw-like structures protruding from the creature's relatively short legs. These protrusions are used for seafloor movement as well as hooking into prey to allow its massive jaws to crush the victim. 5: A smaller, single rear claw used to push off of surfaces while the front legs pull the leviathan forward. 6: Glimmering feather-like growths across the creature's head similar to the wings of the Mesmer used to attract shallower water prey down to the depths that the ancient leviathan hunts from. (Sorry for the massive wall of text :/)

New concept for the ||gargantuan leviathan||. SCAN DATA: 1: A species of kelp similar to the deep-water bloodvines. These plants have adapted to the sole environment of the leviathan's scales creating a unique habitat for a variety of other creatures. 2: A single massive organ that runs down the length of the gargantuan protruding from the gap in its back where the inverted ribcage doesn't close over. The organ emits a constant, deep (Deafening if too close,) thrum used like sonar that spreads for hundreds of miles away from the gargantuan able to detect the very rare presence of a prey of viable size. 3: Vents that line the sides of the leviathan that intake water from nearby thermal geysers as the creature hibernates while waiting for a viable meal. These vents preform a form of chemosynthesis providing just enough energy to maintain the necessary functions of its body. 4: (Should be 1) Average human next to the hulking leviathan. 5: The jagged protrusions from the leviathans vertebra that run underneath it, connecting to its jaw. These are used when constricting larger prey to keep them in place as the gargantuan drags them deeper. (Once again, sorry for the massive wall of text. :/)

Pretty simple concept sketch for a new leviathan. Fishnet Leviathan. SCAN DATA: The fishnet leviathan is a very unique predator, hunting prey nearly its size by simply allowing them to swim to its mouth and slowly consume them. It is probable that the fishnet is a very distant relative of the triops. 1: A massive silky cone protruding from the creatures mouth. This structure is transparent and thin, making it nearly impossible to detect in darker waters. Extending from the inner walls of the cone are millions of long, sensitive micro hairs able to feel when prey is within the cone. 2: The fishnet's entire body is transparent and lacks the obvious bioluminescence of other creatures like the ||ghost leviathan|| making it hard to see but still visible. 3: The fishnet's three eyes are connected to long nerve shafts extending to the edge of the cone where they try and locate prey to slowly maneuver towards and eventually trap within the cone. The eyes are small and appear as the eyes of smaller creatures such as the peeper. 4: In the cone's center, and the fishnet's front, is a deep mouth filled with small sharp fangs that slowly eat away at captured prey. This mouth can be covered with three flaps to conceal it and not ward of potential victims. 5: A boneshark (Or something. Terrible drawing.) swims unknowingly into the cone . 6: The cone begins to silently close behind the shark as its mouth opens. 7: The cone retracts into the fishnet's throat so the teeth can begin slicing away at it. *(Once * AGAIN sorry for the wall of text.)

The (technically second) piece of fanart I have seen for Subnautica 2 it isn't that early I promise
I am by no means a skilled artist but I do have knowledge of how photoshop works and a dream and that is all I really need.
Comes with (very minor) spoilers for Subnautica 2 and holds almost no actual canonicity, but the design is ||of the submarine you can see in one of the images and the idea that "hey, that looks like the thing on the back there could hook into something" and BOOM idea for a big mech that it plugs into
The image does not in the slightest do my original idea service as it is meant to be a large mech with the submarine in the chest and an imposing personality, like a massive prawn suit
I call it the Colossus||

Creature concept (Leviathan I guess? Kinda.): Nautical Moon. SCAN DATA: The nautical moon (Named after its resemblance of Luna, the moon that orbits earth.) is a truly colossal single celled organism that slowly moves through the ocean feeding off plankton that funnels through its hundreds of tunnels. 1: On the upper half of the creature are carpets of grasses and other plants that cling to it where it is closest to the surface and receives the most sunlight where, do to its gargantuan size, the bottom of it is often in darkness. 2: Within the moon are several large cavities where the twisting tunnels converge and eventually all lead to one central cavernous space. 3: There are six primary tunnels in the moon that it funnels water through with millions of large flagella that line their walls. This creates a very slow movement in one of those six directions in a pattern regulated by pressure sensors allowing it to react with its depth. 4: Due to the constant flow of water through the moon's caverns, minerals are deposited inside its walls over many years, building up into harvestable outcroppings. 5: The nautical moon undergoes asexual reproduction, slowly budding into smaller offspring once it becomes too large to function most efficiently.

Concept for living ||research specimen theta, Predator Theta||. SCAN DATA: Theta is a massive, deep-water predator on the verge of a being considered a leviathan that feeds mostly on small fish. 1: Tall human (Normally i take the human as in-game size but i couldn't find any size comparisons so i made him 2 meters for easy measurement.) next to Theta. 2: Along Theta's back and on the end of its tongue are extremely bright bioluminescent nodules that cause the rest of the creature to be harder to see past the bright light. This is especially effective against less intelligent creatures, as they simply swim right up to it. 3: Two small arms ending in functional hands with opposable thumbs. Given the smaller prey it consumes these are most likely used to grapple and claw at other individuals of its species or other large creatures. 4: Theta's long tail ends in a long, barbed spine capable of injecting a venom that causes brief paralysis, most likely used to stun predatory leviathans and give itself time to escape.

I was on vacation and did a lot of these so i will not post them all now so it doesn't clog the chat. Concept: Slaver. SCAN DATA: The slaver is a completely unique organism unlike any other on 4546B. Though it is not of large size, and is very slow, it is extremely dangerous in certain circumstances while possibly being completely harmless in others. 1: Average human next to the slaver. 2: The slaver's body ends in a collapsible bubble-like structure surrounded by a cage of long teeth. This is not a mouth as the slaver has no way of consuming nutrients in any normal way. The slaver will attempt to capture any organism (Including humans) that will fit inside the bubble and contain it indefinitely. 4: (I wrote the numbers out of order :/ 3 will be next.) Once the slaver obtains its prisoner it will paralyze it and begin reading and copying its DNA. 3: After the slaver has finished copying the prey's DNA it will use all its remaining energy to mass produce copies of the prisoner and eject them from its long fleshy tail. 5: The newly birthed creatures will have visible mutations and deformities that seem to occur at random. One difference that is always consistent is a spike jutting from the creatures spine. This interferes with the creature's mind and urges it to collect food for the parent slaver. 6: After around six months, the spike begins to quickly and significantly alter the host's DNA while increasing its cells' rate of replication. 7: After another few months the spike host begins to look more like the parent slaver, and loses most identifiable traits of the original organism. During this stage the creature will begin looking for another organism to capture even before it develops into a true slaver. (Sorry for the text mountain. :/)

Next concept i did while i was gone (I think i have 4 more after this.). I did a lot of BZ land creatures because their really didn't seem like there were enough (Just ||stalkers, pengwings and the iceworm|| i think.). Strider. SCAN DATA: The strider is a leviathan class fauna that subsists purely off photosynthesis, traveling away from storms and clouds to sunnier areas to feed. 1: Average human. 2: The back of the strider is layered with large flat leaf-like protrusions that absorb sunlight. Due to the massive height of the strider, its back is often above lower cloud formations and fog allowing it to receive more sunlight. 3: On the top of the "head" of the strider is a large seventh eye that faces the sky and watches the movement of the weather. 4: If the strider finds a suitably sunny spot with few clouds nearby, it will root itself into the ground until worse shade approaches.

SCAN DATA: The burrow worm is a close relative of the ice worm, though it is much slower and heavier, feeding off algae and ice plankton instead of hunting for larger prey. 1: Average human on top of the massive creature's head. 2: The burrow worm has a truly massive mouth lined with dozens of serrated teeth used to saw great holes through the ice, consuming it as it moves forward. 3: As the burrow worm collects the large quantities of ice, it uses a similar process to the heating of the ice worm's horn to boil the huge amounts of ice, filter out edible organisms, and release the rest as steam through the worm's vents. 4: Many rudimentary legs line the worm's body, serving no apparent function and are most likely an artifact of a distant ancestor. 5: Due to the constant flow of steam from the worm's vents, a thick layer of harvestable minerals form around their edges.

Next one i did while i was gone. (2 more after this.) Lilysnatcher. SCAN DATA: The lilysnatcher is an arctic predator relying on camouflage to hunt its prey. 1: Average human next to the relatively small lilysnatcher. 2: The lily snatcher hides its two front arms just behind its frill. Once a creature gets close enough it will collapse its frill and lunge forward, clutching the prey with its large clawed hands. 3: Due to the lilysnatcher's forward heavy body and its weight supported by only its back legs, it has a huge, heavy tail to counterbalance itself. 4: The most obvious feature of the lilysnatcher is its large bioluminescent frill in the shape of the common thermal lily. Various smaller arctic animals rely on these flowers to produce a cozy spot to rest or simply get out of the freezing air. The lilysnatcher will position itself like a thermal lily and attempt to conceal the rest of its body. The frill and its single yellow eye make the lilysnatcher nearly seamlessly mimic the thermal lily, especially to creatures with poor eyesight.

(forgot to post this earlier.) Second to last concept i did while i was gone. Cliffbug. SCAN DATA: The cliffbug is a small, edible creature often found on above-water formations, be it icebergs, mountains or simple islands. Unlike any other land creature, its main four eyes all face downwards to search for barnacles, small bugs or other edible things. 1: Aside from the four downward eyes the cliffbug has one large eye on its back, used to constantly keep an eye (Get it?) out for predators. 2: One of the defining features of the cliff bug is its four sucker-like legs used to easily scale steep surfaces, even more effectively on flatter, smoother materials such as ice. 3: An extremely hard beak grown from a mixture of lithium and calcium obtained in small amounts while young from the parent while still developing. This beak is used to effortlessly crack open barnacles and the tougher exoskeletons of edible bugs. (This is finally the last of the land creatures i made, but i just really felt like they could have had a lot more diversity to the below zero land creatures.)

SCAN DATA: 2: The gulper is a bag-like fish with that can barely be called such. Most of its body is an extremely stretchy fibrous material that can be contracted or expanded. The gulper does not kill its prey, it simply stretches its entire body until it is nearly flat, than engulfs the prey to digest over a few weeks. (After the fact i realized this was boomerang and noot fish, whoops)

creature concept, Bellow Fish. SCAN DATA: The bellow fish is a normally sized small herbivore that feeds of algae in the water. 1: The bellow fish has a relatively massive tail, used to displace large amounts of water, not to move quickly. To fish with poorer eyesight it will make the bellow fish appear much larger. 2: The bellow fish has two intake pipes on wither side that constantly water into its frog-like vocal sac. 3: This said vocal sac can produce a vast variety of sounds. The bellow fish copies the sounds of the most dangerous predator in the area, including leviathans. 4: The bellow fish's wide mouth is useful for collecting algae and amplifying its call to the intensity of whatever it is mimicking. This call will scare all nearby fish far away from the harmless bellow fish, alloying it to feed in peace.

The voidborn reaper is a very close relative of the common reaper, most likely speciating quite recently. Unlike most leviathans, it tends to tread along the ground to ambush prey from below. 1: human size comparison. 2: The void reaper is completely blind and has no real need for sight due to the absolute darkness. 3: Instead of using its eyes to locate prey, the voidborn reaper uses a flowing net of catfish-like feelers to detect its prey along with the usual echolocation. The feeler hairs are very long and quite hard to detect, but, if avoided, the reaper will most likely not notice your presence. 4: The reapers' large front fins have adapted into joints to better move along solid ground. Even though the voidborn reaper spends most of its time crawling, this does not by any means change its ability to swim at high speeds. 5: The void reaper's black scales are just slightly transparent, similar to the ghost but to a minute degree. The faint bioluminescence of the void reaper is the only good way to identify it among the deep water sands.

it may help to take pictures of each individual slide, so you can hold it up close enough to read the image clearly and crop out your face

Yea! They're Valyerin, a race of deer-like beings with horns and hooved feet that traditionally wear masks. It is believed by the Valyerin that your face is equivalent to your soul, and showing it to someone leaves it vulnerable, meaning you may lose yourself (hence, they all wear masks)
History wise, he's just a dude who got a nasty infection in his arm and, facing probable death, figured his best bet was to jump down the burrow of a God and request that she heals the infection. The outfits were suggested by my friends and probably not the best fit for guy-who-jumps-into-pits haha

I think it depends. You can’t take somebody’s art and use it as your own, which I believe is what tracing is, but if you can add on and make an entirely new image with only some tracing, it’ll be accepted
