Gold means gold ore veins, they are not where you are
So you have to look for the outcrops not the mineral itself

About a month ago, started having a problem in Below Zero in which we cannot cut table coral any more. Running on Xbox Series X. Everything used to work perfectly.
Now, any time we start a new BZ game, we cannot cut table coral any more. Ever. Not even one piece, the moment we get a knife.
We've tried save/quite/restart, we've tried restarting the Xbox. We've tried starting new games.
Stops all gameplay cold because you can't get far without table coral!
I've just spent about 30 minutes Googling the web looking for bug reports or something. Can't find anything.
Can anyone help with a way to fix this?

OK, here's some thoughts although I can't be 100% sure of all of them.
One is the Crystal Caves, you can find magnetite there or in the biome just above it where you go in.
Another is that there's a "rock tunnel" going straight down from one of the Mercury II wrecks that leads to a pretty deep place. There's diamonds, rubies, and (I think) magnetite there.

Update: I just tried to cut table coral in a BZ world game that I'd already been playing for nearly 40 hours (and in which I've done a bunch of advanced fabrication), and I'm no longer allowed to cut table coral there either. So now I'm sure that it happens in ALL our world. Arrrgh.
My son figured out how to activate a setting that highlights objects with which we can interact. Drum roll... table coral is NOT highlighted like everything else. So the game is telling us directly that we cannot interact with the table coral.
