I can't fully decide which game I like better, I think it's probably the first one overall but there are definitely a lot of things in BZ that I like better than in the original game, little things like pinned recipes, glitches that got fixed, renewable titanium, and lots of other things
I was a bit disappointed by the fact that BZ didn't have deep, dark biomes like SN1 does which I was hoping it would, and also the same thing with there not being a lava zone, I really thought there was gonna be one
so it's kinda a mix of small disappointments but also loving the upgrades from SN1, and overall it was cool to explore new biomes and discover new things so yeah BZ was definitely really fun

that was my first death in BZ, was trying to get some Seatruck module fragments in the Purple Vents after seeing the Chelicerate for the first time, I kept trying to get the fragment after it'd attacked me once and it got me again and boom death

the death music in BZ is way cooler than in Subnautica imo

also, funny thing, I used to quite dislike the Snowfox because it was annoying to steer and clumsy but as soon as I found out that using the mouse as well as the keys (I'd only been using keys before) made it far easier to steer the Snowfox became super fun to pilot and I love it now

I want to start a new BZ save soon because some things happened in my first save, like one of my ||Shadow Leviathans|| died from starvation I think? and my habitat builder glitched plus I just generally didn't put a lot of effort into my bases and near the end I just wanted to rush ahead and see the ending because I couldn't wait

so I'll start from scratch again and this time I'll make proper effort bases and do things better

I like how the creatures in BZ are easier to repel than in SN. I also like how most of them have gimmicks beside killing you until you're dead.

Also, tundraVoid is fun.

I just finished it today and I had 50 hours

it probably would've taken longer if I hadn't accidentally found out some of the things that I did
