so I just finished the story, and I was really surprised that the game lets you just leave the planet without actually resolving a potential new outbreak

like, AL-AN's whole goal was to prevent the release of the bacterium, and it was Sam's mission to do the same and Robin is also motivated to resolve this, but in the game it's super easy to completely miss this part of the story and I never got any hints as to where the frozen leviathan was and accidentally stumbled across it

once Robin finds AL-AN it seems like the entire story shifts to making his body, everything else gets forgotten

the whole story in general feels a lot less coherent than Subnautica honestly

and the map too

other than the sparse arctic biomes along the ice walls and the thermal spires around delta island it feels like the biomes were leftover ideas from Subnautica the devs reused whether they fit or not

and the transitions between them are jarring to say the least

and moving on land is just frustrating with how easily Robin, the Prawn and the Snowfox get stuck in the environment

and how bad Robin is at jumping

overall BZ feels slightly more polished than Subnautica with some of the quality of life and performance improvements, but overall less finished and coherent

and the size of items in inventory and crafting recipes still often make zero sense

like how are gloves 4 slot items?

the jellys sometimes do an EMP shock that disables your sub for a few seconds, super annoying but I don't think they can actually hurt you

Does the terrain stop loading in as well?

Because if you find that the terrain has stopped loading in, whatever you do, don’t try to save, it’ll get stuck saving and can’t complete the process (it’ll get hung up). I recommend force quitting the game, closing it completely and then reloading your save, even if you lose some progress. Otherwise you might lose your whole save potentially

All i can see is enpty ocean and nothing there. Im scared to go in incase it glitches me inside rock.
