I also find the mineral detecor is good for on-the-spot, emergency resource finding.
Mostly for when you're not carrying an entire scanner outpost in your pockets

I used to carry around stuff for a fabricator with me all the time in my seamoth storage, but now the recipe is different so I don’t do that anymore

Arctic spires aren't even dangerous, I would say.
On foot, stay to the ledges, run everywhere, and have a few medkits for those lucky shots from the worms. Don't let your health get low and you won't just be summarily eaten.
Prawn suit, just keep a repair tool and the same basic tactics.

Though, to be fair, the game isn't Dark Souls in a swimming pool or anything. The predators have the same basic goal as actors in a carnival haunted house. Scare you, and take you outside if it gets too much for you.

Perfect! My question has to do with issues while in home streaming and I wasn't able to find a solution. I use a PS4 controller and that works fine, wired, on my main PC. Via steamlink I get issues with that, I can still select the PS4 controller in game but the mappings are messed up, like triangle gets detected as square and the D-pad doesn't work too.
The xbox one or xbox 360 option works, but it displays the buttons prompts I don't need since I am using the PS4 controller.. Is there a way I could force the correct button prompts to be displayed?
The issue is probably that steam link inputs act as xbox controller inputs on the streaming PC and I am in search for a workaround for this issue. (controller configuration support and custom profiles didn't help btw)

Seeking some direction on 'progressing the plot here.

I finished up meeting that crazy old women at the green house, saw the PDAs, and nothing else triggered. I've explored the 5 artifact sites marked from Al-an...and I only have the blue print fully fleshed out for 1 of the the 3 parts needed to construct his body; skeleton frame.

At this stage I'm just unsure where to go.

The Crystal Caves is the purple caves and then you can go deeper inside of them to find a place called the Fabricator Caverns (with red crystals).

There's lore in the cave you're talking about but it isn't where you finish one of the storylines. There's another cave that you should visit called the Phi Excavation Site (which is also in the Glacial Bay) where there's something you're supposed to do. (Keep in mind though that you are only required to do AL-AN's storyline to beat the game. Marguerit's storyline and the one I'm mentioning are optional but IMO worth it.)

That said, I wouldn't mind in-game seeing the conclusion of the plot line with marguerit and Sam's Sister.

Sadly, I'm unsure if I went out of order, but presently, I left the Greenhouse and was told to check out Phi Excavation site, which I named Snowfox base as its the only place you can get the hoverplatform.

Thing is, I went there before going to the green house, and already saw all the PDAs. To my knowledge it only implied Sam's actions but I still don't believe I have a conclusion of what befell her and where.

At this point, I'm at a dead end.

I haven't been back to marguerit Moonpool base since disabling the Satellite, well, I did once, but the door was locked cause I needed to go to the GreenHouse. so am I suppose to go there now?||

It’s on ps4. My lags are getting better. I couldn’t even move properly without some kind of movement lag for the first few days I started it. The monsters have always been laggy like that. mostly the twisty and exhaust biomes tho.

Tip: Scan for diamonds in Twisty bridges.
