This is a known issue but it’s been hard to track down. It’s very unfortunate obviously when it happens, because the save is ruined.
So far it’s happened to me twice, once on Xbox One X, once on PS4.
The devs have been studying saves from folks who still have them trying to reproduce the issue but it’s been a challenge since it’s a very intermittent problem.
For me, both times it happened I was around 3 or so hours in, and that’s what a few other people have reported as well, that’s why I was asking a little bit about your experience @tawdry dove

I would definetly suggest at least 1 storage module and a fabricator. The aquarium picks up fish on the go, so with a fabricator combined, you basically have food and water. Definetly get the horsepower upgrade.

I only wear the reinforced suit once I get it. And then if I plan to go on land I’ll have the cold suit with me. Granted I play freedom but the water filter machine makes those big waters, which I’m guessing last a decent amount and while I’ve not tested it, at least on land you can use those purifier tabs with snow
You can even make the tabs I think with frost vase plant
Never used the aquarium module but I’ve heard sorta mixed things

Mainly because I no longer have to deal with there being in-game consequences of getting fragments
In Subnautica going to the aurora meant you had to escalate infection stage, and therefore warpers became hostile. Therefore I avoided doing that in almost every save. It wasn’t a big deal for me, since I preferred swimming and using the seamoth anyway, but it did change the way I approached my play overall.
I’m glad in BZ I don’t have any reason to avoid getting prawn fragments or making it

Hey all, I don't know if anyone can help but my partner has been playing below zero that we bought on the epic games store for a few weeks now when suddenly yesterday his controller analogue sticks and d-pad stopped working. All other buttons work and the controls work on every other game. Does anyone know of a fix or is it better to message the devs?
