I found that there was good space to build a sizeable base as well as the twisty bridges, thermal spires and purple vents all being nearby for their high resource count. You are also near delta island and the centre of the map

The Prawn Suit shouldn't have been oneshotted by an Ice Worm. The max damage an Ice Worm can deal to a Prawn Suit is 150 Player HP, which translates to 25% of the Prawn Suits shown HP.
For reference. The Prawn Suit has 600 Player HP.
It is possible that if your Prawn Suit was at low HP, that could be the explanation.

But this is good Prawn suit was OP so beeing more careful with it and brining thumpers is a good change (last I played was in the old story line and then iceworms just gently patted Prawnsuits)
