What do you hate about below zero? I don’t hate anything about it, my only major issue is how the ||seatruck modules|| don’t have flexibility and smooth turning so you don’t get stuck as easy considering it’s small for tight spaces as the map is meant to be smaller.

I haven’t played the first game yet but I plan on getting the mobile version of it, I have below zero on ps4 but I know that Subnautica 1 has op tools that make no sense to kill a leviathan. Which is why below zero nerfed stuff, to balance the unbalanced tools and remove some terribly op ones.

I seen a video of a guy using a stasis rifle and dropping like 40 gasopods killing a ghost leviathan which realistically would not be phased by it for its size, just hurt and annoyed but not terribly. Which is the exact reason they nerfed and removed stuff, stasis rifle should not come back to Subnautica 2 unless it’s nerfed to be only a distraction

ONE DIAMOND😭 (we count it as a leviathan because it counts as one, it’s pretty big anyways and reaper is counted as one so why shouldn’t squidshark) the second one was in my seatruck getting to a ||alien artifact at the inactive volcano|| and got attacked by big red boy and my mom was vacuuming, so she was in the way and I was getting mauled and instantly drive off

The story isnt as expansive and the map is generally more cramped but it's still quite fun to play start to finish, especially with the new creatures and plants.

People have preferences and that’s what mods are for, when devs go a different direction for a sequel people lose their minds. It’s like they want everything the prequel has and then some, which would in essence just be a continuation or DLC but from a dev standpoint you can only go so far with an outdated game engine

From having played the first and then two, this one is nice in that I still have a modular vehicle. Which I’ve been really enjoying and the new familiar building elements are cool

Below zero is weird the biomes look much better imo but are so small and shallow it ruins the vibes of subnautica the map Is just to small then again the whole lilypad caves and crystal caves exploration feels better then the end game of the original subnautica

Just above the trench with the volcano things at the bottom is an ELITE base location btw. You got the mining area below you with materials for days, the volcano at the bottom of the trench is the best spot in the game for thermal reactors, there’s barely any threats aside from the occasional cryptosuchus, the island nearby is great for farming surface plants, and you have so much building room to expand your base

You have to time it just right to cancel attack without damage. Too early and you will still be attacked and defence is on cooldown. Better take juat a little damage and cancel the attack if you're not perfect at timing

its worth the money on the discount. the story is there, lots more audio logs. I prefer that over s1 honestly. its a bit frustrating in a few ways, but not enough to detract from the play once you just learn how to follow the paths they lay out. it definitely rewards exploration

It’s the area right next to the drop pod that has all the wierd glowing rock formations. You can find diamonds 100-200 meters down, they look like quartz but the crystals are thicker. Remember to bring the floatation device especially if you don’t have a sea truck yet. If possible you should also carry a spare oxygen tank so you have double the oxygen and can stay down there longer
