I’ve only died from running out of oxygen in the very early game, and by being too close to a big hydrothermal vent yesterday.

Compared to the Reaper, the ||Chelicerate|| is pretty tame

Both are completely negated as a threat by the Perimeter Defense Upgrade.

Not in my experience. With the Reapers, I still get goosebumps from hearing that roar and avoid them unless I’m in creative mode.

With the Chelicerate, I swam right up to him without a care in the world and pulled out my scanner. He’s definitely less intimidating in my opinion. Maybe it’s because I knew what to expect in BZ while the first Reaper encounter completely caught me off guard.

You could recharge the cubes with the swim charge fins, I made a ticket about it and as a suggestion I wrote that you could have 300,000 in the charge for the swim charge fins to become inefficient with them. The developer writing the fix took it literally.

pots are more pricy than growbeds but take up less space
you can extend a bit if you have power issues, like a bioreactor room, alien containment room, etc.

Got hired as a lumberjack and spent 20 minutes cutting down creepvines to craft stuff
Loaded up my Sea Truck with creepvines samples for my bioreactor
Went back to the Lilypads
Couldn’t find my base because I forgot to place a beacon
Spent 10 minutes driving around and looking for my base. Finally found it and made sure to place a beacon.

I only just realised there was a "run in background" option, and all this time when I alt tabbed to watch a video or something, I had to mute the game

I’d actually say the opposite, but to each their own. The fact that you can see a Ghost leviathan from so far away makes it scarier, because you can’t really judge distance in the void. You can see it from a large distance, but you don’t know exactly how far that distance is or how big the leviathan is until it’s right up in your face and trying to eat you.

There is and area in SN1 (kelp forest) with two holes in the ground. When not fully loaded in, they are two perfect squares. Unless it's permanent, the terrain simply didn't load yet.

Built a ||prawn suit depth module, drill arm, and grapple arm||
Had to go all the way back to my lifepod because I left my mobile vehicle bay there. The plan was to build a prawn suit, then the ||sea truck docking module, then attach the prawn suit|| to the sea truck and drive home

Forgot to bring the ||jump jet upgrade|| that I got from ||the mine shaft||
Couldn’t build ||sea truck docking module|| because I didn’t have a plasteel ingot (it also didn’t occur to me to find the materials and use the lifepod fabricator to build one)
Drove my sea truck home
Found a brute shark beached on one of the lilypads. I tried to put him back in the water with my propulsion cannon but it didn’t work. He also bit me twice.
Built the ||sea truck docking module||
Grabbed the jump jet upgrade and went back for my prawn suit
Drove the prawn suit home. Also when I tried to change the colors, the vehicle console would display the correct color, but the suit itself was still the default colors.
Also I’m naming this prawn suit the Hulkbuster

Nah, the seatruck is nothing compared to the seamoth, it lacks speed unless you add the overdrive/boost, which drian the power.

Where as a seamoth with or without power upgrades can travel pretty far without the worry or concern for swapping power cells.

The seatruck is more vulnerable imo, though it has a deeper depth of 1000m, its not that much of a difference by only 100m, as the seamoth can go 900m.

The corridor here was powered off.

The dock was powered but not the corridor before it.

SN1 seemingly did well, so it wouldn't be out of the question. However it depends on wether they would like to or not, considering SN1 is the original and BZ a spin-off.

Hi, does anybody know if there is a color gradient setting in BZ? I liked the cinematic color gradient a lot in the first game and haven't found it in BZ, nor any reshade or info online in this topic, is it because there's a way to emulate this setting or am I really the only person who cares about this 😭

Here's what I mean:

The difference between neutral and cinematic color gradient is awesome at night and I was wondering if I can replicate it in BZ

I guess the only workaround is to set gamma to 0,70 (although cinematic gradient is still a bit better)

The area I'm thinking you're in has some plants with a red slightly glowing fruit [fevered peppers] you can grab them and eat for food and water - other than that, north by northeast gets you closer to the goal in that area

Has anyone else experienced issues with ||phi robotics center|| just straight up missing all story collectibles? This is a brand new save, few days old, never been there before, all the crates are still there and the voicelines triggered properly when I went there, but all the PDAs, fragments, music discs, they are all straight up missing

Game files have been verified on steam, save has been saved and reloaded a million times

One source I've found says to delete the cache files, but wouldn't that reset collectible progress everwhere else as well? Or is there a way to figure out which cache file belongs to the location since I haven't seen any other location have any problems

Okay well, that was quick, I figured it out
In case anyone else has this same issue, F1 screen, note those numbers. Then where the game is installed, \SNAppData\SavedGames\slot000X\CellsCache\ find the zip that begins with the first number, extract it, delete the file that has those same 3 numbers, zip it again, replace the original file. Fixed it for me

Fought ||the Shadow Leviathan|| for like 20 minutes and it ended in a draw
Went back to the ||Deep Twisty Bridges|| in search of the ||sea truck sleeper module|| fragments but didn’t find any
Named my sea truck “Mothertrucker”
Found the ||bow of the Mercury II|| and got lost inside so I drowned
Built the ||Test override module|| and ||Reinforced Dive suit||

A few days ago, I found a Bruteshark stranded on the surface of one of the Lilypads.
Today I went back to check on him and he was STILL THERE. I immediately tried to figure out ways to get him back in the water. He was too big for the propulsion cannon, so I hopped in my Prawn Suit.
I used the grappling arm to pull the Bruteshark back into the water, but I guess he died from me dragging him

my advice for the bioreactor is to get a growbed, farm ribbon plant, then use them to power the bioreactor.
you can get seeds by cutting the plants

Control room is a big fat bloke that takes up more space than you realize

You can start a temporary first base there, but my advice would be build near the delta island. Close enough to surface that solar still works somewhat, you have geothermal sources nearby for future upgrade, and the place is close to every other location of interest.

Note that a scanner room and a control room are also 3x3. Even if my picture above has multipurpose rooms it's the same.
