You get beacon for only one. For others you get some hints after scanning certain number of artifacts, and then more hints when you get close. One is on the surface, one is deep.

One problem I see with thumper is that you basically need to go to danger area to get the blueprint. Then you likely won't have materials to build a powered base with fabricator and to craft thumper, so you need to go back to your base to craft it and then return to use it...much easier/faster to just keep exploring the area without thumpers🤷‍♂️

I think the main problem with the land areas is that they should have stick to the concept arts.

In the concept art, the Arctic Spires is an open biome with holes in the ice to go in the water.

And not closed all around.

I don't know why Kiel went with this approach instead. Even his first version was an enclosed space.

Cold suit can be scanned in Phi robotics (and pre-note that killing won't gove the needed materials...) Other options to stay warm are using vehicle, build temporary base (carry materials for i corridor and hatch, no power needed), eat/drink heating food/coffee, go inside caves, warm up in steam vents.

The resources felt less scarce, but a con is you dont really have a marguerit to help you

ignis showed me the code. the lights shut down when your base power consumption RATE exceeds a certain number
but when you use your fabricator, it makes the rate FOR THAT INSTANT higher than the number, so the lights go out for a split second

it wouldve been charging 3 ||ion cells|| so it would have been drawing lots of power (about 8 iirc? i went to the control room to see if i could get it to stop)

my issue with the curing in bz is that since the leviathan is dead, it has no functioning circulatory system and wouldnt be able to circulate the stuff around to the postules

the khaara is also likely dead so hitting it with an antibacterial wouldnt really do a whole lot

unless its an insane bacteria that can survive being frozen for a very long time

id like to think the antibacterial is just glorified hand sanitizer lol

As for the cold suit you need fur from the snowstalkers, you can grab piece of that with the spy penguin or find it in the caves in the Glacial Basin.

So i've went in-game and tested the prawn suit's claw arms. They do:
50 damage per jab with ONE ARM.
Around 1 jab per second.
Therefore the dps with ONE ARM is 50/s.
Two arms do double the damage, equating to 100/s.

But yea hope that helps.

hi, i've probably spent 2-3 solid hours looking for the 3rd seatruck docking fragment. i've watched 3-4 videos, they just kind of fly by the keys area that i can't match. i've searched the ||deep purple vents|| thoroughly i believe. open to any ideas here!

Purple vents is a big area, there’s the more shallow part, and the caves section as well

You actually don’t need to add range, unless that changed with the update (I don’t think it did) they already scan at max range so all you do is add to the hologram

u dont really need it. And for land u can use the snowfox instead --> for land u dont need the seatruck, just bring the prawn there and u're good

find the teleport instead, so u can use prawn and then teleport back

i think i'm going to let it go for a while; getting frustrated. it's hard to tell if I have any unexplored points of interest. i need to back through all the logs. I believe I've explored/found all the offered alien artifacts & beacons. i may have unexplored pengling research, i found them very hard to find even with the handheld and base scanners.
