If you have the tether handheld thing, it can teleport you (if charged with an ion cube) to where the teleporter module of the seatruck is located; I’m pretty sure the module has to be powered, so hooked up to a seatruck cabin that itself is powered, to work. I don’t know a lot of specifics, I didn’t really find it useful myself

So I gotta focus on that stuff first but in search of gold I found a land mass and explored it a bit and ended up getting lost

there’s too many frequent blizzards and the body heat dies off real quick

And the movement on land feels awkward. I feel like if they wanted to emphasize this much land exploration, make the movement better

And even from a story standpoint, like Robin shows up with absolutely nothing. Just crash land on a frozen planet with no tools, no maps, not even any cold gear

Just for info, you have to explore glacial basin to get the cold suit...but there are several ways to stay warm in addition to the suit:

• using a vehicle (prawn or snowfox)
• drink coffee or eat heating food (pepper plants grow almost all over the land area)
• go inside caves
• build a temporary base (corridor and hatch enough, no power needed)
• use the steam vents
  (In addition to scaring snow stalkers, holding a flare gives 5% cold resistance; not much but combined with other stuff can help)

BZ is, for the most part, its own game. But it’ll feel familiar. Just know that it’s a smaller game in the sense that the map is smaller, and it doesn’t have exactly the same alone feeling. There is more land. Some people didn’t like these things, but it’s beautiful in a lot of ways. They tried a different approach to the telling of the story, and there were a lot of quality of life improvements. Sometimes you can find it on sale, depending on your platform. And we don’t know for sure when Subnautica 2 will come out, so you don’t have a lot to lose imo. I really enjoyed the game, and while it’s not perfect, myself and many others think it gets some unfair criticism (but again, no game is perfect).

A lot of the visuals in BZ are next level. I don't know what it is but so many of the biomes are jaw dropping in a way that SN doesn't quite hit, although SN is also beautiful.

Idk, there is a decent amount of open space, but I spent a few hours today wandering around the SN map taking screenshots to put in frames on the walls of my base, and I feel many of the biomes are still distinctive and populated...maybe not on the level of BZ tho

I'm hopeful that all of the best things from both games will be present in SN2
