i went near a snow stalker but i was in a prawn suit so they're pretty much harmless

same with the ||ice worm|| if you use the jets on the prawn suit it will just push you away and sometimes do damage to the prawn suit

There is a good spot for a large base with four stacked large rooms near the cage with the dangling wire in the twisty bridges and it is shallow enough for solar cells to work. I have a ton of solar cells plus a bioreactor and nuclear reactor as backup but haven't touched the bioreactor even with 5 water purifiers going.

I find the best way aside from perimeter defense is to get into the purple crystals or inside a crevasse. She often has trouble reaching you in there. In addition, if you have modules on your seatruck, you can step back from the controls and she won't aggro onto you as long as you're not driving or out of the vehicle. Obviously, bases also work, but her eyesight is quite good, so if you hear her at all and you're out in the open, you want to head for cover immediately.

I try to hide in crevices but she still gets me. I know she can't get past certain crystal structures but more often to not I'm not close enough and she gets me.

I usually keep two modules, the fabricator and storage. When I use ||Afterburner|| she still gets me

I'll try to step off the controls next time

She's definitely very fast, and can see you from very far. While you can get out of her way, I've found, (as someone who lives in the Crystal Caves) that the best way to avoid getting attacked is to avoid getting seen. I try to memorize her patrol patterns and stay out of her way next time she comes around. The one highest up has a relatively simple one, she'll just circle a large pillar/small o-shaped cave system for the most part.

If I haven't seen her in a while, I get out of there before she shows up.

Is that place just before with the pink crystal formations a good place to build my second base or is it wasted mats there?

the problem with pink crystal caves is, that you are locked in with tunnels and leviathans patrol them. In contrast, on surface, you may never meet a leviathan at all. I wanted to stripmine whole area, so went so far as building cages and locking the leviathans in while I worked.

Subnautica creatures see your vehicles as creatures so they will always attack them, as they would any other creature of the same type. Bonesharks attack vehicles more often if you're inside them. In Below Zero, they ignore unpiloted vehicles. Standing up in the Seatruck counts as unpiloted, so leaving the controls before an attack will cancel it. The Prawn doesn't have this cancel, but once the attack ends, it is ignored.

Void Ghosts can grow infinitely, but they don't go above the size we see. There is a reason for it, the amount of food in the environment is finite. Whales don't evolve to have more children because there's not enough food

Predatory fish can't be very big. Things that kill whales are orcas, spermwhales and giant squids, all of them significantly smaller. The largest predators aren't very large either. So the open seas wouldn't necessarily have a larger fish.

If you base is not ysing energy, the rods stay as they are. And even if your base is using energy, nuclear might not be used depending on what other power sources you have and which order they are used in (initially the order they are built, after reloading save basically random)
