Lots of goodies in the Lillypad biome. I usually build a scanner room at the Pilot beacon, and have it search for fragments. This will find them for you.

Rock punchers will mine rocks if you stay close and if they are on 'correct' type of ground texture. One sure spot I found is before the entrance to ||koppa mine||. So I have four of them moved by large prop cannon and just swim and pick the stones, and get punched occasionally. The stones drop titanium, copper, silver and gold.

4 happened when putting the modules directly underneath the moon pool and then putting a prawn suit in the Moon pool and then detaching the prawn suit from the moon pool into the docking module which subsequently broke both devices. The docking module thought that it was docked to something but was not and the prawn suit who endlessly walked in a random direction and was very hard to turn around or to do anything with

Creatures in Below Zero were designed by a different artist, Alex Ries. It's clear that his intentions weren't to be scary, but rather alien and beautiful. Although the Chelicerate and Shadow can be scary, they're also very majestic. The sound design is a bit muted in terms of leviathans (but Cryptosuchus gets to have a terrifying roar)
BZ is very different from SN. While SN is more about immersion and fear of the unknown, BZ is a much prettier experience. The creatures and biomes look a lot smoother

Where to go next is relative. If youāre working towards a particular goal, someone can point you in the right direction. There arenāt a lot of specific hints in the game, you have to explore much, read or listen to pda entries, and pay attention to any hints in the dialog on what to be on the lookout for.

On the Steam Deck there's a way to bump up the VRAM, you have to get into a menu at boot time to change it, should be able to google that. I have my Steam Deck VRAM maxed out, think it's probably 4Gb, never had any video issues like that with BZ.

Steam Deck carves the VRAM out of the onboard RAM, definitely not swap space which would be the storage drive in the Deck. Glad this tip helped you out!

When you get the quest to fix the radio tower, there were some scannables on the table to get you started. There are some pieces of a wrecked ship with more scannables inside that will get you the rest of the way. It can take some time and patience. And oxygenā¦
The game doesnāt really hold your hand, itās all about looking in every nook and cranny and scanning everything for clues and materials.

They can, but not always. I think itās about a 50% chance they will though. If youāre actively needing something, just pin a single recipe. They can only give resources not more complex items (battery, computer chip, etc).

Yes it is. And I hate to sound bitter when folks talk about the bad reviews, but it still irks me greatly that I paid any attention to them. Kept me from playing BZ for well over a year, and itās absolutely my favorite game.

but I donāt have MK2 depth neither did I have a beacon on me, so I just screenshotted the distance and direction from my lifepod

Also. Am I mistaken or are the areas in BZ wayyy smaller than the first game? Iāve watched a lot of play throughs and the game appears to have way smaller biomes and isnāt very deep

The game is a lot more focused on the story, which requires you going from place to place. The smaller map will make it less frustrating.

That's not 100% true, as SN had lots of barren, boring biomes. BZ tries to avoid that.

BZ has lots of underground biomes, makes the map feel like it has more content per chunk
So even if the total area is smaller, the amount of map you explore is about the same

Well except the loss of direction, but that's part of underwater games
You'll find fun, just try not to hyperfixate on every bad thing like many people do (cough cough YouTubers cough)

Basically areas you come across should be explored fully, especially the wrecks. Lots of scannables, and lots of resources in caves and rock formations.

Yeah playing for myself like 3 times, the story isnāt AS bad as the YouTubers make it out to be, and I think they honestly got it all wrong, bc other than the plot holes in the story, itās rather well explained, just that robin being a voiced protagonist rlly put a damper in it, and itās probably best to go for a silent protagonist bc I loved being able to put myself in their shoes but in robin, with her way of life completely different from mine itās just kinda awkward to keep getting reminded that Iām just the player (even if cognitively I know im not) and listening to the convos between Alan and robin and feeling like Iām just the third wheel lol

Yea, story heavy games do make it feel like thirdwheeling. One of the things they could've made to make dialogue more interactive was giving us answers to pick. Might have made Robin feel more like you.
