Yesterday I got 5 hours worth of progress I got a decent base going and a sea truck and I was getting to get the moonpool and other base parts and on my way over I notice mobs and other things were not spawning (because I have trash Wi-Fi) so this included certain bases like game made ones I save because that normal fixes the problem. The save caused a soft lock so I had to close the game and reopen it. I load it up and I’m back where before I got that progress so back with no base or vehicles. The auto saving broke but I got all of it back today

It’s not a bug it’s because my Xbox is damaged

It fell flat on the top but I fixed it so it’s “playable” but the hard drive I got for it is completely broken

You experienced what is called the world streaming bug
You described it perfectly, by the fact you noticed fish or mobs as you say, had stopped showing up. The game can’t save in that state so it gets stuck, and the only solution is to force quit. It’s good it worked, some have lost their save entirely
