steel shoal
#

No, it's elsewhere

celest wolf
#

should I look inside ||Mercury II?||

steel shoal
#

Definitely

celest wolf
#

I'm gonna make the laser cutter first

steel shoal
#

It has lots of important stuff, like plants, Reinforced Dive Suit, and the Prawn. The laser cutter is important, and the propulsion cannon helps greatly.

celest wolf
#

so I get everything in one visit to get away from those squidsharks faster

#

one question, do squidsharks attack your seatruck if you're not in it? just checking if I should bring my seatruck or only seaglide and air bladder/multiple air tanks

steel shoal
#

You can be inside it, nearby or really far - it's immune to all threats

celest wolf
#

the only threat is a bruteshark pushing your seatruck below crushing depth

steel shoal
#

Accidentally, as it doesn't even target it

celest wolf
#

so, do thermal vents have diamonds?

steel shoal
#

Some of them do, I think

celest wolf
#

wait.. what? You need diamonds for a laser cutter, which is needed for ||mecury II||, which is where the reinforced dive suit is????

plush fjord
#

Diamonds are in the deep twisty bridges

steel shoal
#

You can find diamonds elsewhere too, like Plat said

celest wolf
#

I'd rather get 1st degree burns than go to the deep twisty bridges again

#

nevermind I only found lithium : (

#

could still use it for a large room tho

fervent bloom
#

@steel shoal , do you have any name ideas for the "hanging plant" and "||Deep Lily Pads|| flower 03"?

plush fjord
#

She’s decayed further

fervent bloom
#

Right. I sincerely hope I was not offensive for asking...

steel shoal
#

Nop

#

It's fine to ask

#

It's worse to assume

#

I can think of the words Yellow, Stems, Spotted and Bulbous

fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

oooo

#

I like it

#

I can't think of anything better so we'll go with that

#

Blossoming Roof-vines?

#

Wow, Cotton Anemone Crevice is such a pretty biome, no?

fervent bloom
#

For the former plant, I'd like to propose a slight change. What about the name "yellow glowstalk"?

steel shoal
#

That's even better, you're right

fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

I can't wait to finish naming all the plants and biomes, then we can start writing their PDA entries 🫶

steel shoal
fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

It looks nice

fervent bloom
#

Do you know where I might find the tongue plant? It has a page on the wiki, and supposedly grows in the ||Lilypad Islands||, but it might not be part of the game anymore.

steel shoal
#

Nevermind

celest wolf
#

do you only lose items you found after leaving your base?

steel shoal
#

Yes. All others are saved. Seatruck counts as a base.

fervent bloom
#

The drop pod does as well, for this purpose.

celest wolf
#

so thats why I spawned inside my seatruck cockpit after drowning

#

so is it better to bring your prawn suit/seatruck to dangerous areas or only seaglide ||I'm going to Mercury II, which may or may not be infested with squidsharks||

steel shoal
#

I think I already told you the trick with the Seatruck. If you have a module, you can get inside it without piloting.

celest wolf
#

I dont have modules

#

for some reason sometimes I just spawn in the cockpit, no modules at all

#

cryptosuchus = giant angry platypus crocodile

steel shoal
#

Yes, that's normal

#

But if you have a module, stopping to pilot with make it so nothing attacks you

carmine bobcat
#

peeper

fervent bloom
#

There's only one large ruby deposit, correct?

carmine bobcat
steel shoal
#

There are 2

fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

Yes

#

Both in cranes, I believe

fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

oh

#

Well, one of them is in a crane

celest wolf
#

do cryptosuchus respawn, and how strong are they?

#

because as soon as I get a prawn suit I'm having a fist fight with all of em

fervent bloom
celest wolf
#

alright

steel shoal
#

Tigrinum, you were not suppose to encourage such thing

#

Now they're going to spam dead Cryptolosers all over the place 😔

celest wolf
#

I can finally get relieved of the constant roars, it makes me think a squidshark or smth is behind me

fervent bloom
celest wolf
#

ok fine I'll just shock them with perimeter defense

#

and throw grav traps

#

also quick question, does bz have the stasis rifle or is that only in the original subnautica

steel shoal
#

Stasis Rifle was removed, same with the Repulsion Cannon

celest wolf
#

: (

fervent bloom
steel shoal
#

Cannon was very buggy

#

Rifle encouraged an unhealthy playstyle

celest wolf
#

and ramming with a seatruck isnt just as bad? it kills most of the aggressive creatures in a few hits

steel shoal
#

Well, yes

#

You were not supposed to kill anything other than edible fish

#

The truck is slower than the seamoth, though

celest wolf
#

then why make them killable 😂

steel shoal
#

Because it's a sandbox game

celest wolf
#

oh well, grav trap is basically the same thing

steel shoal
#

They have healthbars in case you want to use instagib to remove everything and everyone

#

Cryptosuchus have low health because they're often eaten by the Chelicerate

celest wolf
#

I'll let the cryptosuchus live but I'm killing all of the brute sharks

#

they're way too aggressive to be near my base

steel shoal
#

If you swim above them, they won't attack you

celest wolf
#

atleast the brutesharks are really bad at turning around, very easy to juke

#

am I supposed to randomly come across the weird looking ||precursor structure with the architect voice|| in the twisty bridges?

tacit comet
#

Yes

celest wolf
#

soooo, what do I do with these ||ion cubes||?

#

do I automatically unlock ||ion|| batteries or smth?

tacit comet
#

They’re for certain recipes later on

tacit comet
celest wolf
#

a few high capacity tanks and its time for me to explore ||mercury II|| : )

steel shoal
#

No need for multiple tanks, there are plenty oxygen plants there.

fervent bloom
#

I plan to start diversifying the frost vase plants in my growbeds... I don't feel great about using entreset or spawning them, unfortunately, but I think that's probably a good idea.

celest wolf
tacit comet
#

Yes

#

Quite a lot actually, enough to survive indefinitely if you have food and water

#

You just need to keep an eye on your o2

celest wolf
#

I'll bring some cured peepers and purified water first then.

tacit comet
#

I usually often bring a Seatruck for storage and o2, so that’s nice to park outside

celest wolf
#

do the squidsharks not attack my seatruck while I'm outside it?

fervent bloom
celest wolf
#

oh

#

do both halves of the ship have stuff in them?

#

or only the second/first half

tacit comet
#

Both do

celest wolf
#

I'll explore the furthest half just incase theres a squidshark

#

so I lose the least stuff if I die

#

lmao the cryptosuchus just disregard that I exist

#

I've only had them attack once in my whole playthrough

#

wait where is the ship again

#

relative to the pilots last known location

steel shoal
#

You can kinda see a floating piece with a growing lilypad

#

Go a little south if necessary

#

You can also see an alien cable

#

It "connects" the wreck to Omega

celest wolf
#

oh I know where the cable is already

#

I'll go find it and follow it back

#

nevermind the wreck was right next to me , I couldnt see it because its so damn foggy

#

oh look, a convenient little dock

#

wait wheres the other part of the ship

#

and can seatrucks outrun a squidshark?

steel shoal
#

I think so

steel shoal
celest wolf
#

which category is the wreck?

#

I cant find it in my pda

steel shoal
#

Alterra category

#

Gone Fishing, from Jeremiah

celest wolf
#

I'm already at that half of the ship

#

wheres the other half

steel shoal
#

There are 3 parts

celest wolf
#

wheres the next piece of the ship

steel shoal
#

There's an Artifact signal in the purple vents area

#

The wreck is above the trench, near the Chelicerate

celest wolf
steel shoal
#

Lilypads area, near the cable

next current
#

Jeremiah was underutilized.

celest wolf
#

is it the area that has an "anomalous" amount of rock?

#

and is there chelicerates in the lilypads

#

or only squidsharks and brute sharks

steel shoal
celest wolf
#

anywhere near the lilypad wreck? I aint dealin with that

steel shoal
#

No, it's really far

celest wolf
#

so uhhh

#

I still cant find that part of the wreck, how deep is it?

steel shoal
#

I don't remember, but not very deep

#

It's close to Delta

celest wolf
#

how do I avoid the squidsharks in deep twisty bridges?

#

I'm tryna get a storage module

fervent bloom
#

Through use of the boost and the jump module, I was able to drive the Snowfox up the ladder above ||Phi Robotics||.

steel shoal
#

Ooo, nice

steel shoal
celest wolf
#

I wasnt planning to bring a seatruck, since I wont lose anything from before coming

#

and if my seatruck gets destroyed its gonna be a pain to craft a new one

ember burrow
#

@celest wolf they aren't that bad tbh, like most predators they'll choose smaller prey over you

#

also be aware that with a seaglide, you actually move faster the more movement keys you are pressing

that is, pressing 'w' is slower than pressing 'w' and 'd' while looking a bit to the left

#

and both are slower than pressing 'w' and 'd' and 'strafe up' while looking a bit to the left and down

#

with this technique, even just W and D, outrunning a squidshark that you've aggro'd is even easier

#

if you wanna look up how it works, google 'trichording', it's a well-documented thing in pretty much all 3D-movement games, and it's a thing in real life

#

i used to have a great gif showing how much faster duochording is in subnautica, it showed someone fleeing a reaper by holding 'w' and getting caught, then loading the same save and fleeing by holding 'w' and 'a' and easily escaping

#

it's like, 150% as fast or something like that

#

with trichording being like 170% i think? the third key doesn't give you nearly as much

#

but the squid sharks seem really lazy, idk, i never had any trouble with them and if i see one is in my path, i usually won't even go around it, i'll just go right next to it and they're usually just like 'meh, looks like too much trouble and i doubt it tastes good'

bold crown
#

i started my below zero playthrough on december, got so burnt out from it that i still havent finished it

ember burrow
#

i've been really enjoying below zero, i always put it off because of that one video youtube kept recommending me, it was something like "why didn't below zero hold up to the original?" or something, i never watched it to avoid spoilers but i think it kinda poisoned my opinion

fervent bloom
ember burrow
#

i like how they used caves a lot more, it makes navigation feel a lot more of a challenge... with subnautica i feel like as soon as i got a feel for the overworld map, and where each biome was, i was instantly able to understand how everything connected up underground, and it was pretty much just a big upside-down pyramid

celest wolf
#

is there a point to getting rock grubs?

ember burrow
#

with below zero i've explored every biome and i still get totally lost, or pop out of a cave and realize i'm way, way far away from where i thought i would pop out

#

if you drop one, the lobster attacking you will switch targets

celest wolf
ember burrow
#

i usually dedicate 1 or 2 slots to prey animals i can drop to distract a predator, but i don't know if it's actually worth doing that for the lobsters, im mostly thinking of squid sharks or leviathans

#

yeah whatever they're called lol

#

hey, that's one way you could deal with squid sharks

bold crown
#

i think the only problem i had with below zero is the land contents

ember burrow
#

if you've got one chasing you, dropping a peeper is like, a guaranteed got-away-safely

ember burrow
#

but i think i'm about to get to the part of progression where there's nothing to do

#

and i'll be forced to go on land

#

and i'm kinda dreading it

celest wolf
#

is it possible to squeeze your seatruck into koppa mining site?

bold crown
#

there is this one part of the land progression that got me stuck for like 2 hours

ember burrow
#

yeah, there's a tunnel about 100m to the northwest with enough room

#

although it's a bit of a squeeze and you'll bang on the walls a bit

#

it's easier to find it from inside, if you don't already know where it is. just go inside and look northwest

celest wolf
#

is it possible to squeeze it through the gate entrance though

ember burrow
#

i don't think so

#

i think they specifically closed the doors just enough to make it impossible

celest wolf
#

so only enterable without vehicles (prawn suit doesnt count because its a mech)

ember burrow
#

very enterable 😄

celest wolf
#

talkin about the gate

ember burrow
#

but yeah not through that gate, but this tunnel is literally like, almost adjacent to the gate

#

if you built your base at the gate, having to travel isn't that bad

steel stream
ember burrow
#

oh woah really

celest wolf
#

wait is there only 3 prawn suit fragments

ember burrow
#

i think so
if i recall correctly, you need koppa and also one other source of frags to finish the prawn suit

celest wolf
#

wheres the other one

ember burrow
#

there are a couple different options, but i recommend the mercury bow, its got a lot of other stuff you're probably missing hard if you're coming from a lategame subnautica save

||if you are trying to maximize efficiency, pick up the quest from marg on the way||

celest wolf
#

I'm still decently early game

#

maybe early-mid

ember burrow
#

if you've been mostly hanging out to the north and west of the big middle island, maybe just go exploring to the east

ember burrow
#

yeah

#

if you grabbed the facilities map, maybe meander on over towards omega, but be on the look out for other stuff on your path

celest wolf
#

which part of the map is it in

ember burrow
#

did you grab the facilities map? it was in delta station

celest wolf
#

is it one of the two on land?

ember burrow
#

no it's the one with the omega symbol, the horshoe

celest wolf
#

k

#

I'll explore koppa a bit more before going there

#

is there any prawn suit fragments at mercury II?

ember burrow
#

the bow

#

the mercury broke into 3 big pieces and they're spread across different biomes

celest wolf
#

is that the one near lilypads

ember burrow
#

but the bow has all of the goodies you'll be wanting

celest wolf
#

or the one near the chelicerate

ember burrow
#

||alien containment, large room, water filtration, and lots of thermal reactor fragments everywhere||

#

it's the one near lilypads

celest wolf
#

alright

#

is it near the "anomalous rock formation"?

ember burrow
#

if you aren't like, trying to solve all the puzzles yourself, i'd just recommend taking the following route: ||go to marg's base, you've already got it beaconed as 'pilot's last location'. she will tell you to do something that means you'll have to go to all 3 segments of the mercury. go to bow, get the quest item + all blueprints. go to delta base, get everything. then go to deep lily pads until you get enough magnetite to max out a scanner room or two. then head back||

#

but that's like literally walkthrough levels of following a guide, don't click if you don't want that

celest wolf
#

is it near the anomalous rock formation?

#

or closer to "pilots last known location"?

ember burrow
#

oh woah you got a beacon for the anomalous rock formation? huh

celest wolf
#

no but my pda told me about one while I was exploring lilypads

ember burrow
#

the rock formation is dead-center of the lilypads zone, omega on your facilities map, the bow is southwest of there

celest wolf
#

any squidsharks I should be concerned about on the way there?

ember burrow
#

much worse

celest wolf
#

chelicerates?

ember burrow
#

yeah altho in the lilypad zone itself they're not that bad

#

my last hint before i clam up and stop possibly ruining your experience with too much info is: maybe go check out the pilot first

#

it's sorta on the way, is the only reason i recommend it

celest wolf
#

alr

ember burrow
#

or like, it represents a good landmark that will help you orientate yourself as you explore the eastern portion of the map

#

something like that

celest wolf
#

Only parts of the story I did are meeting the pilot at delta and finding the ||architect facility in twisty bridges||

ember burrow
#

ah so seamonkies are your friend now? you can use that to cheat out some magnetite way before you're supposed to have any, more than enough to make a scanning room

#

the first time a seamonkey brought me a chunk of magnetite i was legit dumbfounded

celest wolf
#

I already have some magnetite

ember burrow
#

oh cool you explored those deep lilypad caves then

celest wolf
#

I dont have alien containment so I cant hatch the sea monkey I found though

ember burrow
#

oh huh. where'd you get magnetite?

celest wolf
#

idk probably somewhere near the thermal spires

#

wait no thats not right

sonic forge
#

also iirc if you pin a blueprint then sea monkeys vvill bring you ingredients of that blueprint if they can

ember burrow
#

^ yup, i deliberately pinned the scanning range upgrade because it only has 1 copper 1 magnetite and as far as i could tell, sea monkeys would bring me 50% copper and 50% magnetite

celest wolf
#

I think I found the magnetite near phi robotics, where the snow stalkers are

ember burrow
#

i ended up using the first magnetite i got to build a little scanning outpost in the deep lilypad caves, down where the lightning turns red, and then i sucked up all the magnetite i could find

then i built little scanner outposts in every biome

i am kinda doing everything i can possibly do before going up above ground, im dreading the arctic sections of this game lol. those parts of the map look so big and this is supposed to be an underwater game

celest wolf
#

cmon, everybody knows you need to use your first magnetite for a magnetic newtons cradle

ember burrow
#

the scanners come in handy so often though, being able to scan for leviathans so i can just see where they are on my HUD and not have to worry...

fervent bloom
ember burrow
#

i kinda wonder, like... i still have some ||alien artifact beacons|| to follow up on... will i be able to just ||build this alien his body and beat the game|| without ever investigating what happened to sam? can i literally just ignore my sister and never go above water lol

fervent bloom
ember burrow
#

i also... hm. i feel a bit guilty for saying this. but the protag actually makes me want to defend alterra's point of view rofl. ||she's got a literal sapient alien entity in her head. why would she ever want to evict him. she could bring him back to civilization and be super rich. those altera guys were salivating over the chance of maybe finding some alien language related artifacts or biopatent-worthy specimens. protag's brain has to be the single most valuable object in the entire galaxy at this point. he could probably just straightforwardly tell her how to achieve biological immortality and antigravity and ion cube level energy storage and neural radiotelepathy, the true history of the galaxy, the history of his superadvanced civilization, EVERYTHING, and it doesn't even cross her mind||

||he's literally like "hey, why haven't you guys set up radio telepathy yet?" and she's like "well we prefer our privacy" instead of "we don't know how", and he explicitly points out how this is insane, and she's just like "meh". what she's found is absurdly valuable, and i don't just mean in the "alterra's stock price reached an all-time-high" value, i mean the "feed the hungry, heal the sick, clothe the naked" sense... and it just kinda doesn't occur to her, and i really do think it's because she sorta thinks "ugh that's what alterra would do if they were me"||

#

thanks for coming to my ted talk

fervent bloom
ember burrow
#

i guess that's a fair point but... idk. ||i just finished exploring delta base, at present it looks like marg blew up the base, probably after some kind of infoleak originating with sam's conversation with vinh about the mutation artwork. if i were protag, i'd definitely blame alterra for sam's death. i'd want to get back at them. i'd want revenge. i feel like... to have an entity with trillions of trillions of dollars of valuable information fall in my lap... if i'm the protagonist, i would immediately begin thinking of ways to leverage that value to get back at alterra. maybe start a new company seeded with valuable alien secrets to ensure it becomes a megacorp, then slowly choke alterra to bankruptcy... or something like that. the fact that protag never even, like, jokes about it, feels so... ugh. c'mon girl. you've been handed the keys to the kingdom. heroically deciding not to use them to wreak havoc is one thing, but it feels more like she doesn't even realize they're valuable. i just want to throw her into an alterra employee personal mindset training seminar or make her read some ayn rand, and i can't believe i'm saying that||

sonic forge
celest wolf
#

why is my pet brute shark so fussy

#

I found the last fragment, I just didnt explore koppa mining site enough

#

Whats the structural requirements of the seatruck dock and moonpool?

ember burrow
#

...oh also there was a foundation, now that i think about it

#

it might even have been super overkill, i have no idea, i put the large room down first

steel stream
ember burrow
#

yeah i know, i just didn't pay attention lol. i got in the habit when i was making megabases in the original game, just throw down a bunch of hallways or something where you can put infinite reinforcements, and do it before you start building the rest so you don't have to ever repair

#

also i can't remember if depth makes reinforcements/foundations less effective, or if it decreases the integrity of other stuff. like, which factor does it scale?

#

less integrity, or larger integrity requirements?

steel stream
#

Yes, depth has a multiplier value for negative integrity effects, but not positive, so deeper bases require more reinforcements/bulkheads/foundations than same base layout on shallower area

I don't know why they wouldn't have it written when they were just waiting for 1.0 before they added it to the game

fringe spade

oh...

celest wolf

and if you go into deep twisty bridges you'll run into a squid shark

finite vale
# fringe spade bru how tf do i get silver

You can find silver in the Twisty Bridges pretty easily, can't remember which outcrop. If you scan outcrops however, it tells you what you have a chance of getting from them, so I'd do that whenever you see one.

naive cedar
#

It is argenite outcrops that give silver, but i believe sandstone outcrops can aswell

#

as mentioned by other people, both are relatively common in the twisty bridges

finite vale
#

@naive cedar If we want to continue our discussion we need to continue it here.

naive cedar
#

yes

finite vale
#

So what are your thoughts on the original creatures in BZ?

#

When I say original I mean like,,, Brute Sharks, Spinners, ect.

naive cedar
#

Overall, they were great but some just left me wishing for more, like the brute shark because i think more could have been done with the design

#

and the leviathans felt dry

#

the shadow leviathan is pretty much a glorified centipede with a battering ram for a head

#

Also, my cat is in the bathtub playing with the curtains

finite vale
#

I really like the designs but I also wish they incorperated more of the OG Subnautica creatures in it. I know that they wanted more original creatures but the arctic counterparts of certain creatures were way cooler than what we got imo.

#

I get hate for this but
Crested Reaper >> Dumb Chelicerate

naive cedar
#

Arctic reefback < Ventgarden

finite vale
#

omg if Alex Ries was in this server I would kiss his boot omg.

naive cedar
#

who?

finite vale
#

Alex Ries, he made a lot of the concept art for Below Zero.

#

He's super talented.

naive cedar
#

Ok, then i would too lol

#

also, i did know the crested reaper concept

#

just cuz I'm a sucker for concept art

finite vale
naive cedar
#

my cat is still playing in the bathtub

finite vale
#

Something I really want to see is a HUGE area for Subnautica 2, but we get to see a lot more of the originality and detail that Below Zero had.

#

I also want a Silent Protag game. I like SIlent Protag games more, yk, so we can project ourselves.

naive cedar
#

did you sign the petition for my cat to be in subnautica 2?

#

also, yeah, below zero has the more alien feel i think, but combining that with the alien parts of subnautica would be really cool

#

also, my cat would be really cool!

finite vale
#

We need that cat in Subnautica 2

#

Make the cat the main character.

naive cedar
#

yes.

#

he jump up on your shoulder and meows at good resources

The Below Zero trailer song did NOT need to go this hard!

naive cedar
#

mash it up with subnautic stimulus and abandon ship

#

did you die?

finite vale
#

Sorry, I'm doing something else rn.

naive cedar
#

oh ok

#

i just finished listening to all 3

finite vale
#

Im gonna try out Below Zero in a bit, give it another chance I guess. I've been pretty hard on it.

naive cedar
#

lol

finite vale
#

Ngl what you said was probably why I disliked BZ, it was just too different than Subnautica for me.

steel shoal
#

You compared Ventgardens and Reefbacks in #subnautica-switch. I wouldn't say that's very fair - one of them is present in half the biomes, the other only appears 4 times, in their own signature biome

steel shoal
finite vale
#

I think what I would've liked more is that the story could've progressed like Subnautica's did. You start off slow, shallow. You're in more safe areas before eventually the progression and the game leads you to go more deep. In Below Zero, it's very similar, but the biomes and creatures aren't as threatening.

#

The only time I felt scared in Below Zero was going down to ||rebuild AL-AN's body||

steel shoal
#

Yea, it lost the fear factor, but in turn was able to make really beautiful areas/creatures

finite vale
#

Below Zero has a lot going for it in the creature and biome area, the fauna and flora are all super cool (except for the stinky Chelicerate) and really fun to explore, but like you said, a lot of the fear factor was lost.

#

Going down to the ||Fabricator Caverns...? Is that what the area's called? I completely forgot LMFAO|| was way less scary than going into the ||Lost River||. My fear mainly came from the Shadow Leviathan.

violet aspen
#

Below zero worth the purchase?

steel shoal
#

Yes, it is

#

But don't expect it to be a Subnautica 2

finite vale
violet aspen
steel shoal
#

No

#

Like a Captain America movie in the Avengers franchise

finite vale
violet aspen
#

Yeah ik

steel shoal
#

It's an adjacent story, and takes a different approach to gameplay and storytelling

violet aspen
#

wb the horror aspect

steel shoal
#

Requires a lot more PDA reading and mystery solving

finite vale
steel shoal
#

It's gorgeous, beautiful, absolutely stunning not scary.

violet aspen
finite vale
#

Like... by a long shot.

finite vale
#

It's not as scary but it's got a really lovely environment.

steel shoal
#

The map is better detailed and less sparse

#

The creatures are more unique (no more dozens of eels)

finite vale
#

The map and creatures are the best part of the game imo.

violet aspen
steel shoal
#

Base building is enhanced by a lot

finite vale
#

I said before I think but I really want Subnautica 2 to give us more squid/octopus like creatures.

finite vale
violet aspen
finite vale

and do sea monkeys stay near where you dropped them like a cuddlefish, so you can just have a pet sea monkey?

naive cedar
#

Will anyone talk about how we can grab a random uranite rock and just refine it into a reactor rod just like that?

steel shoal
naive cedar
#

if its re arranging it then how does it refine it unless it is re arranging the subatomic particles aswell

#

because uranium 235 is the fissionable isotope used in nuclear reactors, it has an extra neutron relative to uranium 234 (depleted uranium) so unless it can add a neutron by some process then it doesnt work

#

and neutrons split atoms so it would just make the uranium undergo fission while printing

celest wolf
#

Why doesnt uranium cause radiation damage? Because its a game

#

it wouldnt be very fun if you could only craft depleted reactor rods

Hello Thomas

steel shoal
#

Does he give lead?

No? I'm afraid his generosity is of no use.

# stone orbit if the ||cubes|| now have a power meter thing, does that mean any ||architect de...

If you mean the ||teather tool of the teleportation module, yes, that one consumes 1/3 of an ion cube for each use, so after three uses the cube is gone. Thats why the tool is of so little use. You can avoid that by deconstruction the teather tool before and craft an ion battery, that restores the cube||. Any other ion cube device does not consume the cube or it can be simply recharged. Headlamp has infinit power and batteries and cells have 5x the power and can be recharged. Also the recyclotron does not consume the ion cube at all.

i already have a base in the purple spires

#

The vent gardens are the massive octopus creature that live over thermal spires to absorb the nutrients, they have spiral plants in them and you can go inside them through their mouth

stone orbit

i didnt even realize i was in chelicerate territory and i stepped out of my truck to grab ruby💀

naive cedar

Everyone over reacts to leviathans

steel shoal
#

I love leviathans, they're pretty

#

But they're dangerous, I understand the fear

naive cedar
#

Chelicerates are harmless, reapers are predictable, ghosts are avoidable, shadows are cute

steel shoal
#

Chelicerates are not harmless.

#

75 damage is no joke, I'd be careful when near them

naive cedar
#

i build bases around leviathans because the danger gives me adrenaline and acomplishment. I have conquered the depths
