Anyone ever happen to think why the chelicerates turn essencially zombie like in the void?

It's a rare mutation, they are not healthy, regular Chelicerates.

The color is probably due to low amount of wildlife, and size is to conserve energy

But unless they eat each other, it doesn't make much sense for them to out there, they're not filter feeders like ghosts

What if the chelicerates keep growing past the point seen in sector zero, and like ghost leviathans, navigate out to the void, but instead of keeping growing, they start slowly dying. Essencially they would be the elderly chelicerates, nearing death.

What do chelicerates normally eat? They're carnivores, and those jaws look good for restraining or tearing chunks out of something big.

The rotting could be for malnourishment, and maybe decreased immune system response, maybe due to age. I can imagine them being ages old.

What if the void chelicerates we see are simply for the reason there isnt the knaraa anymore. The immune system would degrade overtime, and in the end the chelicerates go to the void, have the kharaa fully take over and the chelicerate dies. Essencially they isolate themselves to try to not get others infected, or to at least not have the younger ones get the more severe stages of infection.

As bz takes place 10 or so years after sn, the kharaa has been almost entirely eradicated from 4546b, and as its a relatively short time, the chelicerates that originally would die from kharaa in the void, would now stay wondering about, some dying faster than others. Some, with a (maybe) lucky mutation would survive for way longer, but essencially still slowly die as their immune system fails from old age.

If you dont know the thing you're eating's friends just sliced your guts out whilst you didnt see, something tells me you're not gonna survive for long.

I use the prawn suit in BZ, whereas I don’t in Subnautica because two main reasons, you can acquire the prawn suit earlier in BZ (at least imo, because there’s no radiation to deal with) and also there’s no dealing with any side-effects in game as consequence of obtaining the prawn suit in BZ (whereas visiting the aurora escalates infection stage and therefor warper aggression in Subnautica, something I try to put off for as long as possible). So I avoid going to QEP, Aurora, and similar places until I’m ready to do all the stuff related to going to the LR pretty much in one fell swoop. But in BZ I can relax and go grab the prawn suit and make use of it early on (which it’s also nice we can get the ion tech much earlier as well)

The devs have stated this will be a sequel to SN, not BZ. So we may well end up on the same planet, at least to start with. Alterra will know nothing about what Robin did on the planet, especially with the satellite disabled. Unless Marguerite somehow fills them in on what she discovered of Robin’s activities, perhaps some sort of deal has been struck.

A good story will definitely be necessary to please the majority of fans, and have enough background for new players to understand the back story.

The max power that your base displays is the sum of all the batteries in your power generators. If you have 2x bio power at 150 each, max power is 300. But if one is empty, power will never go over 150

I just found out that the jump upgrade for the ||PRAWN suit|| does stack

Yup it does, just tested it out

with 2 upgrades i got like 30-40 meters more up

I may be wrong with the numbers tho, but it stacks, and it gets you way higher

Nope, vanilla. I jumped from a point with just one upgrade module, got to 60 meters, jumped with 2 and i got to 18 meters

A September 2022 build shouldn't let you place multiple upgrades. It was changed in EA.

I launched stable and you're right it lets you place two upgrades. Which is a bug. This behavior isn't the same in the experimental build. However, only one upgrade is working as intended. The difference comes from the fact that it's basically a Boolean. So placing two removing one is the same as none at all.

Also I don't know why the current stable lets you do it since it should have been fixed in EA.
