I played the game. I know speed upgrade wont help you much with that. I played the game. It will be slow and immaneurable. And yes it will be slower than SeaMoth.

I have a yellow "new notification" icon on my PDA beacon manager. How do you clear those? I've tried turning the beacon on/off, changing the color, hovering over it, etc. but I can't seem to clear the yellow symbol indicating a new beacon. Do you actually have to visit the location to clear the yellow dot icon?

More likely the ||degasi would have been the first, their wreck is never found but the bases that they made are about the same level of rust as the mercury II, and as BZ I believe takes place a few years after the events of subnautica its possible the mercury II crashed 1-2 years after the degasi||

The purple vents (if you mean them) are not very good sources of thermal power (or that's what I've heard, not tested myself), but there are some very hot lava geysers near delta island
