Delta is really good! There's a small beach near one of the wrecks that makes a good "land/water" base spot, and it's very centralized! There's usually one loud boi hanging around, but he never gave me that many issues personally.

I built mine around the are were the first little al-lan beacon light thingy was in the twisty bridges, so right next to the cave system that leads to al-len. I like it bc there’s a cool view of the brute sharks and there is a lot of resources without to many dangers.

Also just finished the game and it was crazy, I think I might love it even more than the first, mainly because of Al-lan, the ending, the voice acting/conversations that took place, and the new land feature, also I liked the different feel of the game, because rather than horror it felt more sci fi and cool and I liked that more.

Yes, attacks have a cooldown. The defense module is manual fire. Fire on attack, not before. 100% effective this way.

and if you build a base/bio gen and just a regular scanner room near where it drops off, at about 270m, the default 300m range of it will give a good idea where it's at. Certainly enough for the hud, which would then highlight the rest. There's plenty down there, but having a scanner room within the closest range is key.

If you are below the depth limit without the module installed (150 I think), then it will begin to take damage. If you have the mod station close enough to where you are, to craft the module and get back out there (have the mats on you beforehand), you can get away with it with marginal damage. I think mine at worst took 35 percent or so.
