Last creative mode mini base for today, this one's in a moonpool. It has basically all the features that you would want inside it, at least that are able to go inside a moonpool and enough solar panels to supply it with over 3000 energy!

I like to make little "waystations" around the map. They serve as resupply points, as well as emergency retreats in case I got a vehicle wrecked. I usually use the X-compartment, which gives you a lot more space for only one more titanium. I use the same setup as my starting base, right by the Life Pod so I can use the pod fabricator...

thanks! if you don't know how I did the lighting, I basically have an isolated I-comparement down by my foundations that still counts as part of the base despite not physically being attached to any other rooms, and I damaged it so it floods and it makes the entire base dim

Made a little fix to my compartment base, it now has the hatch in the top and a window on each side (before it had the hatch in the side and a window in the ceiling). I was able to keep the same number of solar panels by making half of them go the opposite direction and only sacrificed 2 plant shelves, but now there's space for a chair on the one side which I wanted to get in before but there wasn't space for.

What would be the best biome to make a resource gathering base?

While yes I would agree however the Lost River comes with other complications such as the deadly creatures around it and how deep it is, as well as power from nearby thermal vents and or Nuclear or Bioreactor, if we are talking endgame the Lost River is the best however early game I recommend the Mushroom Forest

My thinking is that a resource gathering base is earlier game, pre-Cyclops. Once you have the Cyclops, you can go pretty much anywhere easy enough. I usually set up shop at the volcanic vent in the Safe Shallows. It's conveniently close to the Mushroom Forest, Red Grass, and Mushroom Caverns.

from what i have heard, fusion causes the uranium atoms to condense and literally fuse together, causing the resulting matter to be much more unstable, while fission splits the uranium atoms apart, which then simply burn off, with the worst possible scenario being if it splits apart too quickly and a mass amount burn up, heating everything up around them

I love the floating island with a thermal vent (how does it have a thermal vent? Never mind that...) as a base location. Set it up with the moon pool hanging over the edge for easy docking.

Located in the ILZ, this base offers everything a player could need! most likely.

across 3 floors we have : a moonpool, scanner room and storage room on the ground floor,

the 1st floor has your local energy sources and an aquarium (still looking for residents though)

the 2nd floor has leisure spaces, as well as a forge and food production room

and of course the main attraction: Emile, the Sea Dragon

Thanks for the base compliment! : D I like building in survival best because I feel more accomplished having gathered all the materials by hand and put a lot of effort into it, and also having to go along with the rules of the game like hull integrity and stuff like that. I do also like building in creative, although in creative I usually like making mini bases with everything stuffed into them that I wouldn't bother wasting resources on in survival, I save my big bases for survival. Also, yes I like building in BZ better too cause of stuff like the large room, glass domes and lots of other decorative stuff that doesn't exist in the original game.

I can agree. In creative I always like to guess about what the rules would be and put power, and reinforcements on the base. I usually prefer creative because it’s just faster to build, and I like doing it a lot. And the best part is that at the end, I still feel proud. Even in survival I like to build

So it’s a win win for me I guess lol

these are the kinds of bases I like making in creative, they're usually small with a ton of stuff packed into them just to see how well I can make a mini base

in survival I would never use that many solar panels on such a small base that I would probably not even visit that much lol
