A lot of my bases use a solar array combined with either bio or nuke. I don't usually fuel the reactors, they're just there to provide additional battery capacity. Eight or twelve solar panels will charge the empty reactor, which means I have plenty of power at night.

I wish power transmitters were a little bigger, and were planted like light sticks, not done with the Builder Tool. Just carry a bunch in inventory and lay out a trail...

But I really wish you could loop all your bases into a single power network. Then your transmitters would also serve as pathway markers from one base to another.

My newest base, Outpost Uranus. This relatively small base in the Underwater Islands is an outpost for mining uranite, and has a decent amount of storage for it as well as basic living accommodations. This base was made in hardcore, no cheats.

Love the Cove Tree as a base site. Got some nice heat vents, it's some work to set up since some of the basic materials need to be hauled in, but I always get a little thrill when I reach that spot. Kind of, this is it, just the finale left!

Thx! This for me is one of the best places in the game to make a base, the structure in the middle of all the paths fit a base, heat recharging for vehicles, and just upstairs is the teleporter at the one lost river entrance leading to the Primary containment facility, which has teleports to lots of biomes.

I got a really good spot, that hydrothermal vent had 90c on the location with the thermal reactor

I also have a prawn path, i use it for guidance to deposit-rich areas, its basically just a path of light sticks

well for one those 5 floors are just for organized storage, which is at the back so it's hard to see from that angle
and also, that base was quite large so I didn't want to fill all the rooms with stuff because a) it would use a ton of resources, b) it would cause a lot of lag and c) there was so much space I probably couldn't have even filled most of the rooms the way some of them are without it looking repetitive so I spread everything out

so normally I showcase survival bases but I've decided to make a few mini bases in creative, this is the smallest base I can come up with

it has a plant pot, 5 plant shelves, 3 wall lockers, a fabricator, a radio, 3 medkit fabricators, 2 power cell chargers, 2 battery chargers, a modification station, a trash can and a coffee machine all crammed into a single I-compartment with 6 solar panels on top for power

I probably wouldn't use this for survival for obvious reasons but it was fun to see how much I could fit in one little room
