There was a great mod for the original called the decorations mod, which, among other things, let you craft seeds for all the other land plants. I hope we get a version of that for BZ

Not in creative. That is scouring over a lot of area and gathering every extra databox and every chunk of already discovered parts and scrap and outcrops. I had six lockers filled with titanium and emptied them before I was even done here.

I’d like to build a base close to that area just safe from the shadows cause I’m not feeling like getting jumpscared while exiting the hatch

Cause my completionist save has a base at glacial bay and eye jellys often stalked me to the hatch so I spent tons of titanium to make a surface hatch to avoid taking damage when leaving

i have some mods installed and one of them is called building tweaks and it allows you to make a base pretty much anywhere. you could make a base in the wall and it carves out a space for the base. I built one on the alien base and that somehow broke it

I present to you, ABYSTION.
This is my main base of operations in the Deep Grand Reef, and it took me many weeks to build.

The front part serves as a driveway for my Cyclops, and also has a garden containing every plant-able underwater flora in the game except for tiger plants.
The openings at the front are garage doors, leading to a pair of moonpools.

The main tower contains a storage area and my living quarters at the top, acting like a central hub for the base.

The research tower contains a nuclear reactor, water filtration machines, a 3-story alien containment for breeding and studying creatures, and a bunch of fabricators, power cell and battery chargers plus other things.

The Garden tower is what you think it is - 8 floors of just plants. Nice for when you're bored and just want to look at pretty things.

At the rear is a smaller garden with the flora that I use most, with a walkway in the middle between the research and garden towers.

Hope you enjoyed my base, I put a ton of effort into it and despite the intense lag it causes it was definitely worth it.

Hey guys im pretty new to subnautica and it would be really helpful if someone could explain to me how bases work.I got the thing that has the blueprints on it and i didnt really experiment a lot with it.Im not sure if theres something that i need to know before i start it.Also im not sure how pipes and pump work.

You can place down base pieces near the ground and put a hatch on them. Put a solar panel on top and you'll have oxygen and power in the base. You can place things like a fabricator, radio, and storage lockers in your base like you have in your lifepod, but you can put down things in your lifepod that you don't have in your base as well, like growbeds and pots for planting food, and decorative furniture. Some interior things can only be placed in multipurpose rooms, which you have to scan from specific locations in the world. You also have to keep track of your base's hull integrity (unless you build above water), it shows up in the corner every time you add or deconstruct a base piece. Hull integrity goes down when you add more rooms, and it goes down more when you place windows. If your hull integrity gets below 0, the base will flood. You can increase hull integrity by building base pieces like foundations or reinforcements on the sides of rooms.

My next little base, this one didn't take me long to throw together. It's basically my own miniature version of the alien thermal plant, I mostly made it simply because I love the way the inside of the lava castle looks and the lava pool in the middle was the perfect spot to stick a small base.

The “big” base I built on my creative save isn’t actually big as it looks, Most of it is just winding corridors, barely any rooms.

And when I show it to people, they are all like “Wow! It’s so big! How long did it take to make it?”

Really it just took a few minutes, maybe an hour or two to make it, and it’s not even done.

I can’t imagine building it in survival, it would take forever.

And because of how people react when I show it, I don’t feel like I should have their praise on it. I feel like a fraud.
