Maybe they lost one and had to make another one in order to complete the original task. When they were done they decided to grab the first prawn suit on the way back and leap frog them back to base. I’m not far into below zero but this happened to me in the first game, fwiw.

And not to mentions: it's covered in signs to remind you that this is an Epsilon Industries base.

I made a new similar apartment, more utilitarian. I will by the end of this creative save have several apartment type complexes around this area.

it has a control center/scanner room that's sequestered off to the side, this is the apartment from one of it's halls

the first floor has a reception style hall to wow incoming guests

the floor above that is for building management employees

One of my only complaints with the bases in bz is how the large room windows are smaller than multipurpose room windows and are far apart, and so you can't place a whole lot of them if you have a bunch of partitioned rooms

This is the main room, from the entrance, some lockers as temporary storage while I make my storage room. Directly across is the moon pool, left is the storage room, and right is the scanner room. The control room will be to the right, two floors up.

Here’s the layout of my storage room, plenty of space. I’ll have two wall lockers per item, 4 reg lockers for titanium, 4 for bio stuff, and 4 for miscellaneous like decorations, gear, etc.

my only recommendation is that you add two more alien containments: one with bladderfish for a good water source that isn't power-hungry and the other with prey fish for food

then you have a proper infinite food and water source

I have enough solar panels to easily keep up with the demands of all the stuff in my base including the water filtration machine, and I mostly get plant food from my greenhouse

Build two vertical and a horizontal base piece on top of another base piece. Make a ladder up to the top room. Build hatch in roof of top room. Go up and build one or two temporary rooms connected to top room. Go inside and remove ladder. Go on top and remove hatch. Stand on temp rooms. Remove the top room and build two vertical and one horizon base piece on top. Remove the temporary rooms and try to land in the water. Repeat until satisfied.

Well with the recyclotron/titanium ingot compression trick, a seatruck with storage/fabricator/docking mod and an area rich in large titanium deposits it wasn't too bad. A seatruck storage module full of titanium ingots is a lot of titanium.

Yeah the bathroom stuff is in ||marg's base, but it needs to be after you've been to her greenhouse, because it's in the back room which you won't be able to access until after that.|| . I'd say one of the largest open places to build would be in the Sparse Arctic, Glacial Bay, or one of the Arctic biomes.

I tried to explore that cave with the glowing mushrooms near your escape pod with like a standard air tank and used pump and pipes to get down there

How to use multiple pumps and pipes because I need a different stages to get all the way down there

I was so excited to scan everything in wreck settlement

Hindsight I handled it like an idiot and wasted so much resources and time

Buildingtweaks mod best mod, that minibase on the cy has carried me for a long time

Not much inside, was originally a bioreactor, but boi did this thing shake it off when collisions were stabilizing
