the forest next to the aurora has reapers from the crash zone and the other forest has reapers around it from the dunes

You can make the exterior even cooler by using exterior modules like useless thermal plants, solar panels or base air pumps, as well as wild gardens and fragments/props brought over with a Propulsion Cannon Arm, if you'd like

You kinda dont really “relocate”. Its usually better to just make an entirely new one imo. Like have a main base ofc where you have your main storage and where you go after a long trip and where your cuddlefish lives but like having multiple is pretty nice

Actually died? Not at all, but I definitely had quite a few close calls when setting up. Once I had a room and power set up, I realized that she always tends to circle this large pillar nearby, so I'd wait until she left, then return before she came back. My base is also just far enough that once I hear her, I have just enough time to get back in lol.

Yeah, but essentially what I did was build a platform over the water, I then put a large room on it than slapped another right on top, then made a tube that went to where I built my launch platform, placed a large base over it connecting it to the tube, then added a surface hatch which perfectly levels the stairs with the floor of the platform

this is an explanation of my biggest ever subnautica base (i lost the file due to lag making it crash whenever opened)
(all made survival)

The Grid

the base wasn't actually a grid its just named after its absurd power source

it was your average subnautica base except it was MASSIVE this thing was the diameter of half the entire safe shallows (i put it in red grass area and it would often get hit by reefbacks)
it was to the point it needed to have 12 hatches just to get out easily and it even had an unfinished cyclops docking area (unfinished because i lost the world before its completion).

to power the base i had well The Grid it was essentially a pole that reached like 30 verticle compartments up (something like that) and on the top was a massive 105, 105 square of the + hallways. on top of it was literally fully and maximally efficiently covered in solar panels.

this base ofc was very inefficient as it was so big it was borderline impossible to actually run through the whole thing a lot. the power system was really slow to make and very inefficient but hey, big base cool. if you dont believe me i may be able to go fishing for past images of the base in its early infancy (i think i sent some in an old dead friend group gc and if i go digging i may be able to find an image or 2 of the grid during early construction)

Lmao I had a reaper research outpost/main base situated right on the edge of the grassy plateaus overlooking the dunes where a reaper was nearby
