I upgraded the boiler fish to this
The Broiler leviathan
Due to only being 15 meters long it is classed as a sub-leviathan

They are deceptively fast and dangerous
They hunt by swimming up through the lost river (tree route) and into the Northern blood kelp where they have been observed grabbing ampeels and crabsquid (and humans) and then dragging them back down to the lava lake where they use the radiant heat to quickly broil their prey

They have also been observed grabbing extremely hot rocks and dropping them on sea dragons that get too close to their communal nests

One incident saw a pack of them charge an adult sea dragon and through sheer numbers, bit off its tentacles causing it to bleed to death

More surprising is the use of cooled lava to build a maze like corridor into their nests, often used to confuse lava lizards

These are also a rare cause of a species on 4546b not being a hermothrodite
They have males and females thatcan be differentiated by the amount of spots on the side

Seems you have the curves and form down very well. Now its time to study close up nose bridges on cats- lions, ect. That shading angle can be tricky to master but its a great into into other art features and even applies well to aliens or people. 🧡

I use procreate for everything. It's very good at what it does but isn't as versatile as photoshop, but adobe is far more expensive and just really isn't necessary.

Status: critically endangered
Cause: the wreck of the aroura killing off most, the sound also attracted the larger and more aggressive reapers which wiped out all but two individuals, problem is that one swam extremely far south to the south pole, a location with almost no large threats, perfect for it, the other one was found in the crag fields, hunting bonesharks

If operation Tau-8 (moving the crag field individual to the south pole individual) is successful, continuation of the species may be possible

Question is, how do you move an extremely slippery, aggressive and fast leviathan class lifeform

But this is the clicker leviathan

It hunts exclusively by sound

Unlike echolocation where it uses its sound
It will be completely still while upside down to keep three ears under water while the underside is in the sunlight
This is done to allow for heating and sound detection
Once it locks on to a reefback’s sound it will flip over and rush towards it, ramming into its softer main body causing extreme internal damage and stunning the reefback so it can feed

The fully mature clicker levs will go after adults as they are slightly larger then the reef back but the adolescents will attack juvenile reefbacks
The youngest members will typically go for things like stalkers, bone sharks and sand sharks

Also they are extremely fast due to their cartilaginous skeleton ending at the ribcage and the tail being almost completely extra dense muscle

Got good news, I finally got help from someone on the coloring portion. However, that was done by my sister, the one that I'm making this leviathan for 😂. So to make sure she can't see it, I took one of the messed up redraws and tapped stuff around the big detailed areas. We have gotten to a conclusion on colors and how it'll be done/look. I'll save the reveal for after she has seen it on her birthday (hopefully on her birthday lol). Let's see if I can complete this in less than a month on top of life and college homework!
