Recently I've felt like doing drawing again as I used to draw a lot as a kid and while I drew occasionally, touchpad mouse is such a terrible method. So, I asked and apparently sketchbook and procreate don't need the pen, i'm using sketchbook atm but want to look into procreate, they're basically the equivalent of paint.net vs photoshop, plus theres some things about it I don't like.

I also kind of want to come out as furry because sometimes in pre sleep dreams and occasionally dreams (pretty sure it's the same? I have such vivid dreams) that character has been basically my dream avatar, technically doesn't have a name because it's one and the same. It's not a new thing because it's something I've done for a long time and not neccesarily anthro stuff and I've always had an interest in anthro stuff, it's not always the coyote avatar or furry neccesarily. I dunno, I just feel like wanting to express myself more and sort of embrace the furry identity.

Anyways, I've just felt like really wanting to draw that coyote avatar among other other ideas.

Hopefully I can stick with drawing because I'm such a dang procrastinator on it and kept procrastinating as I was a bit scared about skill wise, but honestly it's very good for not having really drawn in decades or having committed to it.

I think discord has a minimum but it's fairly low. Any larger pfp will be down scaled to something like 300² but drawing it large lets you make it more finely

Is it normal for things to be a bit wobbly when using Apple Pencil? I’m not sure whether it’s just that I need practice (doing a bunch of warmups with shapes seemed to help) or the fine motor thing or just the Apple Pencil as I’ve seen some stuff mentioning drift. Putting in a slight bit of stabilization in Procreate does seem to help.

I made a possible future fish idea! It goes on land due to a water bladder on top of the head. It’s delicious and nutritious, if you can catch it. Easier to catch on land. Eats small fish but prefers little bugs which can only be found on land, which is why it eventually evolved into being able to leave the water for short periods of time. It has 4 eyes which helps see small prey. The tongue works a bit like a frog’s tongue, but doesn’t work so well under water. When in bullet mode, it tucks his front legs into depressions on the body and becomes very streamlined — moves like a fast snake, side-to-side, and zoom. The bulbous thing on the head not only carries water when on land, it also looks good for the ladies in mating season. Also — He is ugly but his mom likes him.

Now this can vary depending on which type of animals u choose, but this is mostly for like the animals that you’ve been drawing (dogs, tigers, stuff like that). Animal legs are more like lightning bolts in the way that they bend, this ESPECIALLY applies to hind legs. This is also the case for front legs, but they juts aren’t as bent. With the knowledge of their shape, it actually makes posing SO MUCH EASIER. It has made my animal drawings look so much better. And the only reason I’m telling u this is because I think ur art rlly has potential, and this trick has helped me out so much it’s insane. Idk if I’ll have to post the image after this message is sent, but I will attach an image of an example I drew for leg shapes. (Just remember this does not apply to ALL animals) hope this helps! :D

The legs on the second part were intentional as that's the joke, for the third part, I was struggling with figuring out how to do it from that perspective.

Also, thanks on my art really having potential. Struggling with keeping lines from wobbling though.

I really should do some studies on digitigrade legs at some point.

I may also be exaggerating the foot length too much for hind leg.

Hello, srry if the convo is over, but I also struggled with wobbly lines when first starting and it helped when I did a very rough sketch layer then drew over that (while keeping the sketch visible) do that for a few artworks and you may notice a difference. Might not work for everyone though so yeah 👍
