Hello im new, i've asked this question on reddit before, but I can't seem to get it right. I built a cool base around the gargantuan skeleton in the lost river and i really adore my pet ghost leviathan. However a few days ago my pookie suddenly vanished and I can't get him back. I spammed like 50 creature decoys around the area and upgraded a scanner room to full on range upgrades but there isn't a single sign from him, not even a faint noise. Can someone tell me what i can do or is he gone for good? Im playing on PC without any mods

Well when I get into a save file in subnautica my keyboard won't respond unless I hit shift or something. No I don't own a controller, every single controller setting is turned off from the setting in game to steam itself. I only have my mouse and my external hard drive plugged in but I can't use my laptops built-in mouse as it sucks and subnautica is installed via my external hard drive which is over a terabyte in storage capacity.

I've done that several times, I've deleted the options file in the saves folder, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I've done everything I could think of short of deleting my saves folder entirely as I have my first ever save still

There are three possible causes. Either you have a mod loader and you don't know you have one, you didn't remove the options binary file properly because of Steam cloud, or it's the fact the game is on the external drive.

Where you like the best. Practically speaking Grassy Plateaus. For various reasons. You're still around the center of the map, it's deep enough to be able to expand your base later, and park your big submarine without having to avoid the terrain. Your scanner room can scan multiple biomes therefore multiple resources.

Hi, I was playing subnautica casually and my sea moth ended up getting glitched and destroyed, I thought that it would be fine to use the console to spawn another one but I didn't realize it'd permenantly disable achievements, does anyone happen to know the flag in the game files you can use to reenable them? im not really looking to restart the entire game

You don't have a mod loader. There would be a winhttp.dll in that folder. I ask because people who install Vortex or other mod manager end up with a mod loader for games they never intended to mod. It's common.

Did you try to remove the options folder while the game was launched? Steam cloud would otherwise overwrite it.

as far as i can tell these are the only things that can damage base

first fix the source (reinforce base or get rid of tiger plant)
then go around base with repair tool and fix the holes

Those are normal prawn arms that you don't scan (or at least not anymore), you need to find the actual suit fragments to get the blueprint

Possible SPOILER ALERT: You can get all 4 prawn suit scans in ||the Aurora||, but I think you can get all 4 separately in different large wreck locations: ||LifePod 19 big wreck, gun facility big wreck, floating island big wreck||, and 🤔. I know I've been able to scan smaller prawn suit pieces in the past, not arms necessarily, and for some small 20th something fraction of a suit, but not sure if those are still scannable; I think the LifePod 17 big wreck may have some smaller Prawn pieces if you want to test this out.

i have beaten both games twice

Nope it's not responding. It does work properly sometimes, I don't own a controller, a spare keyboard, it's not the fact I have it installed on my external hard drive, my keyboard works completely fine everywhere else.

Neat, I'm still waiting on the game to finish verifying the files again. I found something that said deleting everything in the subnautica folder except for the folder with the saves might fix my keyboard problem

Reinstalling, I argue with games a lot but subnautica always has to be the most argumentative with it.

The verifying was at 84% and I don't have any errors with my hard drive, I've checked and now I'm checking again

Btw farciarz I don't have a desktop computer, I only have phones and a laptop right now

I'm getting disk read errors currently and it's not because of my hard drive causing an issue. Corrupt files apparently meant the verifying went back to not close to being done this is stupid!

The solution I found didn't fix my keyboard while I'm in one of my save files in subnautica. After the argument of it being installed I loaded it up to check if my keyboard would respond in game which it didn't. I have no clue what made it start to not behave in the first place
