There is limited number of lifepods, and eventually their radio calls stop (btw you are meant to also explore the new biomes where those lifepods are). Have you seen Sunbeam? If not, keep listening to radio. If yes, exploring that place gives yoi databank entry in codes and clues for what to search for.

Hardcore in Subnautica is relatively easy if your know what your doing and where you need to go. Majority of interactions that can get dangerous are in lava zone but you can beat the game quickly with minimal casualties.

I really fail to see in Subnautica 2 how they can make a creature more terrifying than the reaper. I don’t put it past them but they have accidentally made the most memorable and terrifying creature in their first game anything after it may feel half or a 3rd as scary.
