just....when you're parking it, keep as close to the ship as possible

The thing is that rooms take up more space than you expect. Think of compartment (i, t, x, L) using 1x1 space on a grid. Multipurpose room uses 3x3, but since it's round, the corners of the 3x3 space are mostly empty.

I got it to work and the reaper is free! If anyone needs to No-Clip, face a wall, open the console command box with Shift + Enter (it's a tiny gray box on the bottom left of the screen), type warpforward 10 and hit enter

You need to break outcrops (rocks) for metals: limestone for titanium and copper, sandstone for gold, silver and lead. These are available in the starting biomes, and later you will also come across shale outcrops, which contains gold, lithium and diamonds.

Kinda, they do chase you but not for long. So my strategy is to draw one away from others if others are near then use the stasis rifle. other than that, they don't really go far from their patrolled area

I'll back Ignis for this one. Normally they try to go back to their leash position. They can chase a target but after losing interest return to leash position. However they have flee on damage action and then their leash position can change. So if you want to relocate one, you need to cause damage for it to have chance of leash position changing.

good tip that helped me with my base: building large room wall (and maybe door pieces) increases hull strength a little bit, so if you have anywhere where you can just stick a random wall or something to make it look nice, do it.

Scanner room base idea for me oooooooo. So many challenges I love it

built a ||nuclear reactor|| recently and im wondering how long the ||rod things|| last

Basically what I did was try to overlap scanner rooms detection range as much as possible along their edges, . Each one had full range upgrades, so the idea was to lightly overlap what they were detecting. For the surface stuff I mostly kept it with solar panels because you build like 4-5 of them and it can outlast through the night. Once I went deeper I had to start doing nuclear to map out all the caves and the like.

Amusingly enough you can cover the entire jellyshroom caves with like 2 scanners, and you can get most of it detecting from the surface if I'm remembering right

Each reactor rod generates a pool of 20k energy, reactor generates at a rate of 4.1666- per second
If you have 4 reactor rods installed that's a pool of 80,000 energy, taking 19200 seconds to deplete, or around 320 minutes of gameplay time.

So you'll need to replace them in a little under 5.5 hours

BUT rods aren't depleted unless energy is actually being drawn from the reactor. So if you have other sources of energy generation, thermal for example or solar. You can get your rods to last longer

So the easiest way to actually "show this" is in the bulb zone/mushroom forest area. There's a big arch leading toward the mountain area that is really easy to spot on the scanner maps. Essentially if you make sure both the scanner rooms are detecting the arch from each side, you've "overlapped" the maps and have succeeded.

It's a fun challenge. But because cameras give you an idea of how far away things are, and the range extenders give you a map with a range of 500 meters you can place your second scanner room say, 950 meters out from the nearest room's cameras, and they're more or less always going to be overlapped.
The difficult part, is trying to overlap 3 or more without overlapping them too far

I would avoid using the glass fronted lockers. If you get damaged they can be edjected from the cyclops never to be seen again. Wall lockers seem safe.
