Yes that clue is terrible.

Because while it is true, since it's inside the cave you can't just use it from the surface.

So instead since you know the biome, it's better to go there first, and find it afterward.

Go west. You'll find the Northern Blood Kelp.

Around lifepod 2 you have an entrance. (Unhide the signal.)

You'll also fing a ghost leviathan around though.

But once you enter in the ||Lost River||, in the ||Ghost Forest||, it's very easy to find the ||crystaline sulfur and nickel ores||.

Because the brine is not deep.

What you described seems like Underwater Islands.

It's hard to tell where you are in the story.

Maybe you're speaking about the ||Disease Research Facility||, since you wrote about the ||Lost River||. In this case check the ||Alien Facility Locations|| entry again. There is another location, not just the ||DRF||.

If you want to try the PC thing, you need the Xbox app or the game on the Windows store, if you use your xbox account you shouldn't have to repay it. Then I need the wgs folder inside %localappdata%\Packages\UnknownWorldsEntertainmen.GAMEPREVIEWSubnautica_bh1f6rvenfkm2\SystemAppData\wgs.

Once you launch the game, the cloud should retrieve your save.

Afterward there will be content in that folder.

You can compress the folder (make a zip / 7z) and send me that in the DM.

Ngl once you get your vehicle down to the lava zone. Bring 4 ion cubes and 4 kyanite. Once you’ve done everything down there in terms of story. Get in your vehicle and get to the surface.
