use the map i provided and the floating island go north about 350 from the very north side and go down and shearch the dunes but there is 4 reapers in that locations so watch out

theres alos one in the sea treader path and blood kelp but i always found one in the dunes

I would not make my base on none of the places, mushroom forest is really useful, its the better choice between that 2 but dont make on the forest near crash zone, make on the another one, u will be near from blood kelp forest, and its going to ve very easy to endgame, but i would probably make it on grassy plateus, the red grass biome, just has there some hostile fauna but nothing special, has very wrecks and resources, its the better choice for start

Jellyshroom cave, Mushroom Forest (either one) and QEP. Sea Treader Path is one but not necessarily reliable. It's a large relatively empty biome so you gotta pinpoint where they are and follow them. Careful not to get in front otherwise they'll attack until you move out of the way (defensive like gastropods).

Depends. If you’re in the lava area, the look for lava larvae attached outside. They drain the power. If not, make sure you’re not charging batteries. Also, invest in the thermal power upgrade. You used to be able to add a nuclear machine but I think they removed that.

No. Vehicle lights in general don't use power (but need the vehicle to be powered). Note that if you have red indoor lights in cyclops, that means you have silent running on and that will use a lot of power (even with engine off)

Vortex doesn't deal damage. But it's the most interesting to craft. Torpedoes aren't very efficient anyway.
