Thats not what they're meant for, well, sort of. Take the reaper for example. Normally, it makes loud sounds, so you know its there before you see it, which isnt the norm for a horror game. But thats just it, its a terror game, a game designed to put something like a reaper there that's supposed to scare you in between you and what you want, for the soul purpose of making you go against it anyway, embodying bravery.
