That's a visual bug, 4 scans unlocks the blueprint, but it doesn't show the progress on pda blueprints tab...

Long ago there were prawn claw arm fragments, which could be scanned to progress that 0/20 scans...but there were never 20 of those fragments, so you still needed to go to Aurora for the prawn blueprint. Some wrecks still have those claw arms, but they cannot be scanned.

I’ve only played the game for three days, I’m a new player, but how I explore the “Dunes” is I go into a SeaMoth, and if a Reaper Leviathan roars or chases me, I get out of the SeaMoth and use a SeaGlide to dodge his attacks, (it should be easy on Reapers, but not even half as easy on Ghost Leviathans), and eventually after dodging his attacks, he turns away so you can get back into your SeaMoth.

It would depend on wether or not the gun’s hitbox moves when it does, if so, you'd fall off, as we’ve seen that if you stand on a reefback then they won't carry you with them.

However if the hitbox stays where it is and it's just the appearance that moves then you would appear to be standing on air.

Just realized that one option is to force-close the game (trick to quit hardcore game without saving) and reload last save...

But that area has limestone, sandstone and table coral, so it's possible to get materials for that fabricator and oxygen tank

There's also quartz, so you can upgrade to high capacity tank

And remember you can carry multiple tanks for extra oxygen, so technically it's possible to get back to surface

Don’t use ahead flank too often, it will put your cyclops on fire. You can use cameras, and make the modules in cyclops itself. There is a bay for transport such as prawn suit and seamoth.

Best places to go is honestly in between as many biomes as close as you can. There's one location that has acess to grassy plateaus, kelp forest, lost river/blood kelp.and close ish to the grand reef. The downside is that it's pretty far from the aurora.

Grassy plateaus is typical first base location (other than safe shallows)

Another place is similar but it's right next to the aurora. It sits in the back corner of the aurora so your next to the crash zone but not in it. The reaper will leave you alone bc your too far but it's great for midgame titanium runs. Just don't build too close to the aurora as the explosion has a chance to literally blow your base up. It destroyed all four of my solar panels last night soooo not fun.
