they changed the input system, which is a problem for mods that add new keybinds, and the sprite system which is a problem for mods that import new assets, especially UI ones. There's also some stuff that they've moved around in classes, so almost every mod that touches code is guaranteed to break, but it's not a complete rewrite to fix it like the 2.0 update was

BTW not sure if this was discussed, but was looking into an issue that was reported after the patch where controller glyphs weren't showing up on PC. I confirmed the bug, but discovered a workaround where if you untick "enable controller" and retick it they should become present.

Unfortunately I can't offer you a definitive or satisfying answer. It always depends; but here are the factors we usually consider:

• Uh oh what did we break by accident. As you can see we're doing a bit of post-patch investigation on a few things that emerged or regressed.
• Is there something exciting we'd like to add and is there internal excitement (and available personnel given our other projects and commitments) around that.
• Is there some other related opportunity or platform we want to explore. For example we released the Mobile version of SN in July.

Yes, I'm really sorry about that! I definitely feel for them and for everyone who uses mods. We've discussed the practicalities of giving them a heads up but our patch release schedules can be a bit chaotic, especially with the number of platforms involved. For example, this patch was originally scheduled to release in July but at the last second it was moved.

It's a lame excuse, I know. Perhaps a simple "warmer" or "colder" system would be enough without ever committing to a date. We'll discuss some more.

Release dates are under NDA so I couldn't say anything, but I knew it wouldn't please the Nitrox mods as they planned their 2.0 update soon.

Although no Unity update this time around, even if I know the atlas and the input system broke a lot of things.

we actually had patches for the sprite system from some work one of our devs did towards bz, and tornac the legend got a PoC fix for the inputsystem changes in one night(poor guy was up until 3 or later)

I laughed at the fact that there are now 3 input systems in the game: GameInputLegacy, GameInputSteam and GameInputSystem, only GameInputSystem appears to be used and the other 2 are just there
