The crash zone mesas scenery is underrated, sure it has aggressive fauna and it looks like a mix between safe shallows and kelp forest but it's the crash zone of all places looking like that, that's probably what some of the rest of crash sone looked like, and some may have also been safe shallows because that may be where Bart Torgal's base from the trailer may have been

And there is an island there but that was dirt and rock kicked up during the crash

However the mesas are at the back of the Aurora and everyone knows how that goes

One time my dad played at the first thing he did was not get resources but swim in a beeline for the Aurora as soon as the game started and met Sammy the safety reaper

• You have something that populates the resource tracker database on the scene (the camera, even if you use the drones).
• The resource tracker database is filled with resources around you. So they have to be loaded at some point.
• The scanner room displays a signal for the selected resource if the resource in the resource tracker database is in range. It adds a signal every 14 seconds by default (no speed upgrade).
• The resource tracker database isn't saved. The list is lost after each reload.
  That's the reason you have to load things once in order for the scanner room to pick them up.

PC - stand for Planet Crafter, normal hardcore got terraformation pace 0.5 and power usage by machinery at 1.5, on brutal terraformation pace is set to 0.1 and power to 2x (so double power required for each machine)

and you start on barren moon and not normal planet so no access to most res

Also I just showed my cousins a lil baby froog I found in the condo I’m in rn because I’m on vacation and my uncle scared it out of its cup I was holding it in and it got in his condo and it was by the door hinge at the bottom of the door and he tried closing the door to kill it so I pushed against the door so he didn’t close it and it got in his house and then he got a flip flop and tried killing it. Seamoth with 3 storage modules has same inventory space than prawn with 4 storage modules (and if you put 4th in seamoth that's 16 more than prawn can have)...also when building first base players typically don't have much stuff to move (due to lack of storage before building a base)

If you want dry land plant, bulbo trees and marblemelons contain twice the biofuel of lantern fruit (420 vs. 210 per 4 slots), meaning less frequent refill need. And if you can get alien containment, breed some small fish for superior biofuel, especially oculus (the best available at 630 energy per slot)
