Yep, it’s very good. I use it to hold me in place while the boost recharges.

or some kind of inorganic component to keep the photons or similar radiation in a perfect path to a space

the most feasible way is that the mesmer has an organ of some kind that can send light from its 4 fins on its body, forwards, through your cornea, to your occipital lobe, to your auditory cortex to make you "hear" instructions to come towards it. I assume this translates to your native tongue, either body language for less complex creatures from your occipital, or in the form of auditory instruction in your hearing center. This is entirely feasible, while incredibly difficult to do, and all youd really have to do is blink, is possible. Same way with the PDA, has a gps of some kind, or an audiological scanner, which would allow the mesmer to interact with it in a similar way to YOU the player, which can corrupt or change a few 1's to 0's corresponding to its instructions. AKA, "Come closer". But thats just my hypothesis.

And its even more reinforced because of the light you see as it enters your Occipital lobe as a pathway to your Auditory cortex
