Better is subjective. But there are less dangerous places.

Crag Field, near the Underwater Islands wreck (not guarantee as they are less slots), inside the Aurora (same as Underwater Islands, not a lot of slots).

I always went through the ||grand reef|| to enter the ||lost river||. The ||ghost|| leviathan never bothered me and only got too close for comfort once but never attacked.

The ||ghost|| leviathan actually attacks me far more when I am using the ||cyclops||.
