Random Subnautica Tip of the day:

The best way to harvest titanium (for plasteel ingots or other stuff) is by heading to any kelp forest near you, and searching areas stalkers are strangely common to. They always have ATLEAST 2-3 metal salvage. Another way is to user a scanner room for limestone outcrops, and the HUD chip.

Cyclops is very good to store the metal salvage, if you go with the seaglide only or a seamoth i doubt you getting at least 15 salvage.

Storage modules can practically mimic the cyclops storage. The cyclops is very risky cause it’s huge, and reapers are EVERYWHERE along with sand sharks.

When you turn you cyclops engine off, hostile fish wont attack your sub (cyclops has a lot hp too) and you can just take the prawn or seamoth with you to pick the salvage up with top safety you can carry a lot more with the cyclops than a sesnoth with 4 storage modules.
I am not saying going with a seamoth only is a bad option, im saying that the cyclops is a better option imo

I honestly never knew that. I don’t like driving the cyclops cause it’s very clunky and extremely hard to maneuver around the surface. Hence why I prefer my seamoth or prawn suit

I wouldn’t call myself the most experienced, but I usually park my ||Cyclops|| right up next to one of the entrances, using ||Silent Running|| if I’m too close to danger, and turning the engine and everything off before I embark with my ||PRAWN Suit||. It’s been a long time since I actually got to that point though.

Usually my victory is pretty much assured by the time I get that far in my hardcore runs, but I’m out of practice and haven’t played since before the update with the large rooms (technically I’m playing now, but I haven’t got that far since then)

The majority of my deaths are oxygen related, with Crashfish being the second most common way I lose a hardcore run, and then every now and then I lose a run to something silly

if they bite down on a salvage piece (except for one type I believe), they have a chance to drop a tooth (salvage is not broken in doing so, and stalker is not harmed). It makes the rare drop jingle

So I just got enough materials to make the cyclops but I don't think I've seen any way to charge the cyclops for free except manually charging the power cell and charging in the lava zone? Am I missing something?

If you have cyclops thermal reactor, you can charge it almost anywhere, since almost all biomes have some thermal spots or lava geysirs hot enough to charge effectively.
