Honestly, building a base in jellyshroom is incredibly useful. Not only do you have thermal power source but you also have the oculus which good for the bioreactor. Along with plenty of ores.

The only cons it has is that you cant use solar energy and the crabsnakes. I agree that theres other better locations tho
