The editing is cool but afop and the new modloader cause heavy fps drops. Which was an issue before, i just noticed it got a little worse after the recent update. I have above 100 fps in games like Cyberpunk, even 200 in fortnite but afop gets rougly 7-10 fps

Actually figured out that this was probably linked to a reshader mod + the old Raindrop version. I deleted the reshader file and got the newer version of Raindrop and there i go up from 7 fps to 30 fps even with 2 blender 3D windows open. Crazy

The thing with Na'vi coloring is that it is dominated to the blue from mod that I have. Once it's too dark and once too bright, even if in the hex color palette doesn't seem so

There isn't one single mod for it
Basically how it works is that the devs made completely separate fikes that they put on the sarentu, and you have to replace those with what you want. Because everybody wants different things, you gotta do it yourself

You could ask for help on the modding server, sometimes people are happy to grab the files for others. There's also how-to guides there, if you wanna do it yourseld

There's layers yes, that's why I'm suggesting - find the overlapping file and/or the one that has its color change, and put them into a drawing app and then just change the hex color kinda?

happend to me to xd don't worry, if you delete the old file it should work. When you're in the afop menu you should have something like 'raindrop' beside the afop logo so you know it worked

Welp you'd need a pc to use mods lol but I think what you want would be possible. Theres existing mods that take cosmetic headguards and leave the hair (or vice versa), so you'd have the headguard equipped and it'd only show the hair. Then... probably slap the dog tag headguard onto something else, like a chestguard mod or armguard mod etc

Do you have any of the DLCs? The filepath sounds like this is done on a DLC item, and their textures won't work if you don't have the texture that'd be downloaded with the DLC :)

Okay so, the mod does work and I think I know the reason it didn't for you. I tried swapping the colors and the fact they're all dropped in a single folder might've destroyed it. I recommend having singulator color at a time in the folder (except the last 2 to remain the mod functionable)

For those of you who want to change Sarentu’s outfit in DLC 3, if you have mods in the base game such as a recolor or a redesign of a garment, it can cause issues when directly applying the garment’s mGraphObject. Sometimes simply using the mod’s mGraphObject fixes it. In my case, it worked just by using the base garment’s one—but just a heads up, In my case, my Sarentu has a mod where the torso garment is removed

If you want more accessories and understand modding, you could get other gear (either existing mods, make your own or erase textures from existing gear) and mgraphobject them onto something 🤔 though it seems your slots are full, so you’d need to put some of the current objects onto gear, and the new stuff onto gear mods

Yeah I understand it but I have never done any myself, maybe I should look into that. I do have some on gear mods but you can use 2 at the same time so those can be taken as well. I have hair accessories, minimised song cord, ash clan feathers in my hair and I believe my choker is also on a gear mod

Also I can’t get one of the mods to work for some reason, it’s the ikran to nightwraith mod. I read the instructions and checked everything and yet it still doesn’t show up.

The tap shirt is what you wear at the beginning before getting other gear. The researcher shirt is one of the first pieces of “tutorial” gear you get from Raj at HQ

That means the entire needed filepath is in the zip file, not just the model so you only need to drop the blue folder into your game direction (where afop and the blue folder is)

If the issue was caused by mods, I would suggest taking out half your mod folder at a time and trying to run the game, so you can narrow down what is causing problems. Or delete all and reinstall one at a time & try to run the game after each mod is added tho that may take more time 🤔

All you gotta do is take the item_customization_player_skin_color_### file, open with notepad, and in the myColorData2 section, change myColor1 hex code, the last 6 numbers (ignore 0xff).
myColor2 is the stripes color I believe, so I would make that a bit darker than whatever color you do for the 1

if you get that colored texture where it barely reads "Missing Texture" it means a file is missing or misplaced/misnamed. Usually reinstalling it fix that

It depends on what types of mods you want to make. I got started by learning the file format from other mods. For most mods, you’ll want to download Hunter and a modloader like Snowdrop Modloader or Raindrop

if you mean that then you just put the jeweled top exactly like you would and rename the moat top for example by placing a number so that the moat top isnt the actively loaded top with d.dds

if you look in your files, the textures with d.dds are the active ones that should show up ingame. If theres two it wont work, so you just rename the files of moats top from d.dds to something like d1.dds for example and the jeweled ones stay d.dds

basically the jewel tops texture file ends with d.dds, which is what is displayed ingame, so to make it actually the only active texture file you rename the texture file from moats top so it doesnt end with d.dds

Yeah, the mo'at one was only susposed to replace the rebel chest guard. it was replacing the tap shirt as well.

Replacing the Rebel Chest Guard is what the TAP shirt is doing; the texture is on the TAP shirt, and the chest guard is being overridden by the TAP shirt so they both look the same

Yes, this mgraph has been edited to read a different texture name than the original. Change your second texture files to g_tap_torso_base_03_f(_d, _m, and _n if there are files ending with _m and _n, not every mod has them)

it overrides the Zeswa Rider Cuirass by default. Changing the number on this file from _02 to _03 will override the Spear Hunter's Cuirass if you don't want it showing up under the Hunter's Chestguard

If you’re already replacing one of those tops I listed, then yes it will replace something, but you don’t need to override the ones you already have downloaded

I don't know of the specific mods, but to test it: rename your blue folder, try to open the game. If it doesn't open, issue isn't mods. If it opens, issue is mods.
Then name blue back to blue, and rename all folders inside of blue (just add a 1 after each, for example), and one by one name them back and try to open the game. Once you find a problematic folder, rename all the folders inside that and see which ones cause issues etc

And remember that multiple mods can cause issues, or the same mod can have multiple files that don't work! So you might have to do the process for multiple files

And if you use Vortex, disable all the mods and then just enable them one by one

Do thet mods you have require raindrop or snowdrop? The snowdrop modloader cannot edit models, so you need raindrop for some mods
Did you also enable the correct clothes/cosmetics required for the mod? All mods replace an existing cosmetic that’s stated in the mod’s description, you need to put that on your character for the mod to work :)

The second mod is a proper nightwraith model, much bigger wings and the head completely changed. Accurately to the movie

Snowdrop is the name of the game engine. Universal Snowdrop Modloader is one of the ways to load mods in the game and it uses only 2 files. All other mod files should with whatever modloader (Universal Snowdrop Modloader or Raindrop) you use

The wl_banshee_01.mmb needs to be in a folder named wl_banshee_01

The mod apparently had wildlife banshee instead of wl banshee at some point, as the comments were saying that as wekl - it probably was updated after you ofiginally downloaded the mod

I suggest just grabbing Raindrop, because everything works with it

Snowdrop only supports texture changes etc, Raindrop supports model changes

actually the way it was packaged doesn't prevent that though but just if author disabled it (that just hides the Vortex button from the page). However, all mods are installable by Vortex, even those downloaded manually 😁

I also understood that there's some ways to package them that'd prevent it. Does it work even if the mod doesn't contain the folders, or if the last folder has multiple different color options you need to remove something of for it to work?

Vortex itself can install anything actually, I just designed the extension in a way that it will install without intervention if it contains the folders and stuff, but if that's not the case then it will just ask for paths and other things. It won't refuse to install anything (as long it recognizes the files as being for the game)

The thing with multiple colors is it can't properly detect (for now) if a file is a variation due the different types of naming out there. For those cases, if the package contains the correct folders it will just install as it is but then won't work because the game won't recognize the files, if it doesn't contains the folders the same will happen but the user will be asked about the path though
